By Air

Vila Real airfield (VRL) - Located 4 km from city centre near the Industrial Zone, in the Folhadela parish.Has a paved runway with 950×30 m.There's a regular airline service with AeroVIP to Braganca (BGC) and Lisbon (LIS).

By Train

There's a narrow gauge (1 m) railway that connects the city to Regua, 25 km south, in the Douro valley.Presently, it is closed for renovation.It follows the Corgo river valley and offers splendid views to the characteristic vineyards clinging on to almost vertical.

By Bus

The City Bus system in Vila Real is run by Corgobus.Has 5 lines and transported about 1.35 million people in 2008.

By Road

House of Diogo Cao

is a house in the existing parish St. Denis, Vila Real District, birthplace of the browser Portuguese of the fifteenth century, Diogo Cao.This house was built in the second half of the fifteenth century.

Church of St. Dominic

Pillory of Vila Real

Palace of Mateus

is situated in the parish of Matthew, the municipality of Vila Real, Vila Real District.The Matthew House was built in the first half of the eighteenth century by the 3rd Morgado de Mateus, Antonio Jose Botelho Mourao.The house was always the family administada Sousa Botelho.The design of this palace was presumably designed by the architect Nasoni.

Torre de Quintela
