How to Reach

By air

Veracruz has a small international airport. The only direct US flights are from Houston, Texas via Continental Airlines or DFW via American Airlines. There are many options from other Mexican cities, including Mexico City. The airport is about 10km west of downtown.

By bus

The ADO bus station is located a short distance from the city centre. The bus trip from Mexico City TAPO terminal (located next to the San Lazaro metro station) takes 5 1/2 hours. The bus trip from Puebla takes 3-4 hours.

Santiago Bastion

The Bastion of Santiago is located on Canal Street Francisco S / N, between Avenues Farias and September 16, in the port city of Veracruz , Veracruz , Mexico .It is a military building that was completed in 1635, in the seventeenth century. Started building a wall surrounding integral, which consisted of seven bastions and walls formed the defense system of the city, being located in the south end off the coast of the Gulf, whose purpose was to help safeguard the city and avoid the constant attacks that the Port of Veracruz suffered.It is the only survivor of the nine bulwark which will safeguard the port from pirates and pirate attacks. Veracruz Aquarium

San Juan de Ulua

San Juan de Ulua is the name of a small island that houses the ancient fortress and port once   originally built by the Spanish under the command of Hernan Cortes on April 22 of 1519 .The resort and island lies off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in the port city of Veracruz in the Mexican state of the same name.

Church of Divine Providence

The Church of Our Lady of Divine Providence, or more commonly Church of Divine Providence, is a temple Catholic located in the Avenida Providencia commune of Providencia , in the city of Santiago .Its history begins around 1854 , when the Public Welfare buy the farm Chacon What the purpose of building an orphanage , the National Children's Home . Its administration is entrusted to the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence until 1941 . In 1955 , the National Health Service much of the land lot in which Providence Redevelopment build, leaving only the current structure of the temple yards and two faculty .

Veracruz Cathedral

Veracruz Cathedral, dedicated to the Virgin of the Assumption , is located in the historic center of the city of Veracruz , Veracruz , Mexico . It was consecrated as such in the year 1963 .Previous to the building, there was a parish of modest proportions. The current was built in the early seventeenth century, and was completed in the year 1731 . Some legislative reforms were made in the early nineteenth century . It has a single tower on the right side.
