Granso Castle

Granso Castle is a manor in Vastervik . The building is located on Granso , about 4 km outside of Vastervik .The place has medieval origins. The original castle consisted of a main building with wood, built in 1807 by Olof Johan Risselskiold . The castle was built at several times during the 1800s . The municipal ownership from 1969 matured castle but was used in a number of years as a fixed point for the West's summer initiative for children and youth, called "Fun in the summer." After a renovation in the early 1990s was the greater part of the castle destroyed by fire in 1993 . The building was restored to a slightly altered state of repair and re-opening ceremony took place in 1994 . The plant is now a popular destination with dining, concerts and exhibitions. Uno's tower is an observation tower on Kulbacken in Vastervik . Stegsholm
