By Air

Trent also has an airport located 5 km from the city in the suburb of Rolling Pin.The airport of Trent G. Caproni is an airport open to the air traffic tourist national and EU welcomes private aircraft, gliders and helicopters.There is also a private transport service of passengers, freight (up to a maximum of about 600 kg) and operating health medical transport to and from all European destinations with a Piper Cheyenne III aircraft at 720.

By Train

Trento railway station, opened in 1859, forms part of the Brenner railway (Verona–Innsbruck), which is the main rail connection between Italy and Germany.The station is also a junction with the Valsugana railway, which connects Trento with Venice.Trento has several other railway stations, including Trento FTM, terminus of the Trento-Malè-Marilleva railway (FTM).

By Bus

The public transport network within the city consists of 20 bus lines operated by Trentino Trasporti and a funicular service to Sardagna.The various railway stations within Trento's city limits are integrated into the public transport network.Bus or train services operate to the main surrounding valleys: Fassa, Fiemme, Gudicarie, Non, Primiero, Rendena, Sole, Tesino, Valsugana.

By Road

Highway A22-E45 links Trento with Verona and to Bolzano, Innsbruck and Munich.Trent, nestled in the valley of the Adige, is located along the Brenner road (National Road 12 Abetone and Brenner Motorway A22), as the finish of the road axis Valsugana (State Road 47 Valsugana) and this is where the West Gardesana end and SP 90 South Right.

Buonconsiglio Castle

is a castle in Trento, northern Italy.The castle originated from a fortified building erected in the 13th century next to the city's walls. This first edifice was called Castelvecchio ("Old Castle"), and was the seat of the Bishopric of Trent from the 13th century onwards.The castle remained the seat of the Prince-Bishops until 1803. Used by the Austrians as military barracks and, later, as a jail, it decayed. In the 1920s, when Trento was returned to Italy, it became seat of a National Museum and was restored. Since 1992 it is home to the Provincial Gallery of Art.According the legend, it was connected by a secret tunnel to the city's cathedral, which was used by the prince-bishops move unseen between them.The Palazzo Magno (Big Palace) section was decorated in the early 16th century by order of prince-bishop Bernardo Clesio.

Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento

is a town museum in the province of Trento.The main office is located in Rovereto Corso Bettini 43 and there are mostly works of modern art and contemporary.The section of Trent of the museum is housed at the Palace of Albere, Via R. by Sanseverino 45, which is closed for renovation from 2011.The reopening is scheduled for 2012. Mart also is part of the House of Art Futurist Depero, which is located in Rovereto Via Portici 38, and houses the most important works of the futurist artist Fortunato Depero.The Mart was founded in 1987 as an autonomous body of the Autonomous Province of Trento.Until 2002 its headquarters was in the Palace of Albere, in Trento.The idea to expand the museum, on the one hand to collect the art of the great futurist Trentino Fortunato Depero and other legacy of the Provincial Art Museum of Trento was founded in 1991.On December 15th of 2002, Mart finally opens to the general public with a new office in Rovereto.

Tridentine Museum of Natural Science

is a public museum of natural history of Trent.Headquartered in via Calepina 14, behind the cathedral.It was founded in 1922 under the name of the museum of natural history of Trent. Occupied a floor of the building in Via Verdi, who is now the headquarters of the Faculty of Sociology of the University of Trento.In 1964 was established the Tridentine Museum of Natural Science attached to the Autonomous Province of Trento.The museum moved to its present location in the Palazzo Sardagna in 1982.In addition to its headquarters, the museum has regional offices and other convenient locations around the territory of the Autonomous Province of Trento.The museum documents almost every aspect of nature in Trentino.Are present, "in the 21 rooms set up, sections of mineralogy and petrography of paleethnology, local ornithology zoology (with copies of all major groups of birds in the Alps), entomology, botany, herpetology of (which are observed in live reptiles terrariums), of ichthyology".

Tridentine Diocesan Museum

was founded in 1903, at the Seminar minor, in order to preserve the artistic heritage of the diocese.In 1963 the museum was transferred to the town Praetorian Palace, former residence of the bishops.Over the following decades has gradually enriched and expanded: in 1991 the bishop Iginio Rogger promoted a radical restructuring of the building and refurbishing inaugurated by Pope John Paul II in 1995, during the 450 th anniversary of the beginning of the Council of Trent.The museum currently offers an itinerary of visits both from the standpoint of historical, artistic and religious.

General aviation museum

It was opened on 3 October 1992. Since 1929, when Gianni Caproni and his wife Countess Caproni Thymine Faults founded a museum to remind their company and the Italian Air Force, the Caproni family gathered a collection of several Italian aircraft.In 1988 entered into an agreement with the Autonomous Province of Trento, who undertook to restore it and place it in a museum.Work began the following year.The museum also has an art gallery, housing in particular the works of futurists like Gauro Alfredo Ambrosi, Giacomo Balla, Tato, Fortunato Depero and Luigi Bonazza.In front of the museum there is an interceptor fighter F-104G into the sky, supported by a pedestal, dedicated to the memory of Licio Giorgieri.The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday with hours 10.00-13.00 / 14.00-18.00, and is closed on Monday, the 1st November, at Christmas and New Year.The structure is not accessible by public transport, however, schools or groups visiting or participating in workshops booked reservation can use a free shuttle service operated in cooperation with the Educational Services of the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences.

Trento Film Festival
