By railway
There is no railway station in Torrevieja but there are main line stations at Balsicas (30 mins south) and Alicante (50 mins north) There is an excellent bus network to the centre and north of Spain from Torrevieja and to most of Spain from Alicante/Murcia.
Torre del Moro
The Moorish tower or Cabo Cervera is a coastal watch tower built on a hill on the Cabo Cervera in Torrevieja, Spain. It is located on Cape Cervera about five miles from the center of Torrevieja on the coastal road in the direction of La Mata and about one hundred meters from the coast.
Paseo Juan Aparicio
Along the walk you have several pools and artificial beaches. The tour runs from the Levante dock to Playa del Cura, always on the edge of the coast. Formerly known as the Paseo de las Rocas, was remodeled in 1999 with renowned project architect Carme Pinos.
Archpriest Church of the Immaculate Conception
Erected in 1789 and rebuilt in 1844 by taking advantage of the old stone tower that gave the town its name. Style neoclassical, houses various works of art.
Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Known to Torrevieja and La Ermita. In 2007 it was demolished to erect a new church more modern, but based on the old chapel.
Torrelamata beach
Torrelamata beach is a sandy beach in the hamlet of Torrelamata, municipality of Torrevieja in the Alicante province.This beach is bordered on the north beach of Torre de La Mata and south by Cabo Cervera and has a length of 2,250 m, with an amplitude of 23 m.It is situated in a semi-urban environment, providing access by road. It has parking and enclosed promenade. It offers disabled access. This beach is signposted, with an area marked out for departure of boats.
Museum of the Sea and Salt
The Museum of Sea and Salt of Torrevieja is a fundamentally ethnological museum dedicated to Torrevieja and seafood essence and salt, which opened in 1995. Its current location is temporary.It has sections on: Underwater Archaeology, the salt, fishing, coastal navigation, sail making, carpentry riverside Spanish Armada, salt and crafts workshop in the museum.
Lagunas de La Mata and Torrevieja
The natural park of La Mata and Torrevieja are the familiar landscape of Salinas, one of the most important wetlands of Valencia and one of the most important salt farms in Europe.
Playa del Cura
Playa del Cura, situated in the heart of the city, is the most cosmopolitan beach in Torrevieja. One of the most popular in the locality. It has a promenade with souvenir shops, kiosks, restaurants, bars or pubs. At the end of the beach you can visit one of the most important monuments of the city: Columns dedicated to the cultures of the Mediterranean. The beach has footbaths, monitoring service and tourist information booth. It is also handicapped accessible.
The beach Acequion
The beach Acequion is located in the port of Torrevieja, facing the marina, the beach Acequion its name from its margin in the sea water penetrates toward the Salinas de Torrevieja by the artificially created channel to supply Seawater Lagoon: The Acequion. On the opposite side Acequion is carrying out the redevelopment of the waterfront of the city, creating in that place a new fishing pier. It has no boardwalk.
