St. George Church

The largest is St. George Church, built in a reduced amount of church-monument "Alexander Nevsky" in Sofia.At the old church is the church Sv. Samuil Fortress

Samuil fortress is situated where the slopes of the mountains Belasitza Fencing Mountain converge and form Klyuchkata ravine on hill on the right bank of the river Strumeshnitsa.This grand monument of Bulgarian history situated in southwestern Bulgaria located in the gorge near the village of Key.Samuil Fortress is about 20 km west of the town of Petrich and the Macedonian frontier separate it only 4 km.

Popina Luka Waterfall

Popina Luka

is a picturesque resort village situated in the heart of Pirin Mountain.This is known in Southwestern Bulgaria holiday village at a distance of 15 kilometers northeast of Sandanski.Picturesquely situated at 1230 meters altitude in woodland namesake of the Pirin Mountains, around this mountain climatic resort spread vast green meadows, cut by streams with crystal clear water.In the area in recent years have built many private houses, many of them are rented.Here is the famous hut Yane Sandanski, which is the lower-level chalet in the Pirin Mountains.

Sandanski Archaeological Museum

Museum in the town of Sandanski is initiated by the creation in 1936 of the Archaeological Society "Struma" composed by a museum exhibition, located at the time in today's Primary School in Sandanski.The Archaeological Museum has a rich archive and depot which store finds documentation and photographs describing the detected objects.The museum has a rich collection of gravestones, coins, inscriptions, antique pottery, artefacts and ornaments from different historical periods.One of the most interesting objects discovered in recent years is the Bishop Complex, located behind the old town hall, including the Episcopal basilica, baptistery, atrio a colonnade, spaces and buildings that are still under study.

Spartak stadium

The city has a stadium "Spartak" with 3 new training pitch with lighting.This is a sports complex that "PFC Vihren" - town of Sandanski, home matches are played.The stadium capacity is currently 6000 seats in 2009 was made a major repair facility.In the town of Sandanski pending the construction of multipurpose sports hall with a capacity of 2,500 seats.

Sandanski Point

is the point forming the north side of the entrance to Stoyanov Cove on the east coast of Ioannes Paulus II Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica, projecting 600 m into Hero Bay and formed by an offshoot of Oryahovo Heights.The point is named after the town of Sandanski in southwestern Bulgaria in connection with Yane Sandanski (1872–1915) a leader of the Bulgarian liberation movement in Macedonia.
