Bishop's Palace of Pinhel

The former Bishop's Palace of Pinhel is located in the Largo of the Soldiers of the Great War, the city of Pinhel, Portugal. Dating back to the creation of the bishopric of Pinhel to 1770, the construction of the Bishop's Palace dates from the period 1783 to 1797 and Bishop Jose Antonio Pinto de Mendonca Arrais. The building Pombal has architectural features baroque, in a classical, square rectangular in plan.
In September 1882 extinguished the diocese of Pinhel, the space being purchased by the Municipality of Pinhel dated in the period 1883 to 1887, settling in the following year and the 24th Infantry Regiment, in 1938, the Public Library.

Alverca Beira

Alverca Beira is a parish Portuguese in the municipality of Pinhel.In the thirteenth century belonged to the municipality of Trancoso, at the time called Santa Maria de Alverca. The Church of St. Louis is in Largo D. Christopher de Almeida Soares, the city of Pinhel. The foundation of the Church and Convent of St. Louis dates back to 1596. It is an eclectic church of longitudinal plant, consisting of elements seventeenth century (portal and nave), for nineteenth-century elements (portal arched bell tower and arched windows) and elements present, as the choir.
