Church of St. George

is a Bulgarian National Revival church in the town of Panagyurishte, Pazardzhik Province.The church is situated at 300 m to the north-west of the town's central square.It is considered the main church of the town and when built St. George was among Bulgaria's largest and most imposing churches.The construction of the church began in 1856 and ended in 1860.It is a large edifice with two symmetrical towers and a colonnade on the western facade.The colonnade used to be painted but the frescoes were destroyed when the Ottomans burned the town during the April Uprising in 1876.The church was restored between 1878 and 1880.The new iconostasis was made by craftsmen from Struga.

Church of St. Bogoroditsa

is a Bulgarian National Revival church in the town of Panagyurishte, Pazardzhik Province.It is situated in the central part of the town separated from the central square by the Town Hall and the Chitalishte Videlina.In the same yards was located the Church of St. Theodore which was Panagyurishte's oldest church St. Theodore was constructed in the mid 16th century and used to be a small one nave edifice which is now connected with the larger new church.During the uncertain first decade of the 19th century it was destroyed by Ottoman bandits called kardzhalii and restored between 1808 and 1809 by orders of the Bishop of Plovdiv Dionisius.In 2003 the church was renovated and the domes were covered with golden plates.

Panagyurishte treasure

One frosty morning on the 8th of December 1949 three brothers – Pavel, Petko and Michail Deikovi worked together at the region of Merul tile factory near Panagyurishte.It’s about ten o’clock in the morning, when processing a new layer of clay they came across unusual glossy objects.With all of its magnificence a fabulous set of vessels glittered in front of the workers.When finally unearthed, it was found to consist of a phial and eight rhytons, one shaped like an amphora and the others like heads of women or animals.Dated to the turn of the fourth and third century BC, the find was sensational, not only for its weight in gold over 6.146 kg of pure gold, but also for the originality of its forms.It is now a world famous Thracian treasure and one of the most valuable possessions of the National Historical Museum.

Apriltsi Memorial Complex

is a large monument situated in the Bulgarian town of Panagyurishte.It was constructed in 1976 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the April Uprising.It was built on the historical hill Manyovo Bardo which was one of the main positions of the Bulgarian revolutionaries against the Ottomans.The complex was designed by the architects Ivan Nikolov and Bogdan Tomalevski and the sculptors Sekul Krumov, Velichko Minekov and Dimitar Daskalov.

Raina Princess house museum

The house museum Raina Princess is the home of Princess Raina (1856-1917).Tells of the heroism of the Bulgarian teacher and revolutionary, she sewed the uprising flag for the April uprising.In the yard are buried the bones of the character.The museum is part of a hundred tourist site of the Bulgarian Tourist Union, (9:00 to 17:00) has a seal.

Oborishte Historical place

is located about 8 km northwest of the city.Here on April 14, 1876 was convened meeting at which it was decided to proclaim April Uprising.The area is part of a hundred tourist site of the Bulgarian Tourist Union is open year round has an asphalt road, the seal is Oborishte hut.On 2 May 2006, the found the monument to Princess Rayna in Panagyurishte.
