How to Reach

By train

Oss has two train stations: Station Oss and West Station Oss , in addition, Ravenstein also includes a stand. All these stations are located on the line Brabant (Tilburg - Nijmegen). In both directions stops twice an hour on a local train station Oss and Oss West Station and two intercity trains at station Oss . The intercity trains run between Zwolle and Roosendaal, the trains run between Nijmegen and Deurne.

By road

The city is accessible by road via the A59 , junctions 52 and 53, and A50 , exit 16. On the south side of town is the junction Paalgraven found. Here ends the A59 at confluence with the A50 (London-Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Eindhoven Wijchen-Oss).

Museum Jan Cunen

Museum Jan Cunen, located in a monumental manufacturer villa in the center of Oss is one of the most important Brabant art museums.That position, the museum mainly acquired through his high-profile exhibitions of nineteenth-century and contemporary art and the innovative way in which education is used to serve a diverse audience.Museum Jan Cunen wants his audience actively looking to learn the appreciation and understanding of art and culture. It looks for a dynamic interplay between past and present, collection and exhibition policies.City Archivist January Cunen (1884-1940) was the founder of the collection and the museum named after him. Already in 1934 he set up a room in the basement of the town as 'museum'. The council then collected portraits of Osse industrialists and mayors. By important archaeological discoveries in the thirties were the ideas for a municipal museum created. The discovery of the curved sword in the so-called Forest Graf was an important stimulus. January Cunen expanded the collection with religious statues, regional dress, coins and medals and other archaeological finds

Frost Tomb

The Frost Tomb in Oss , the largest mound of Netherlands . The hill was 3 meter tall and had a diameter of 54 meters. The tomb was discovered and investigated in 1933 and rediscovered in 1997 .In 2009 Prince was half tomb discovered a few hundred meters from the Frost Tomb.The findings from this tomb (7 of the hill Zevenbergen) were transferred to museum January Cunen

Old water tower

The old water tower in the Dutch city of Oss Kording JHJ was designed by architect and built in 1935 . The water tower has a height of 48.5 meters and two reservoirs each 300 m³.The tower is the Ulu Mosque located Oss.

Castle Oss

The Castle of Oss was a castle town that around 1374 was built as part of the defenses of Oss . The defense was especially against the Duchy of Guelders oriented. Oss was because the borders of Brabant and Gelderland Gelderland and troops were arranged inside. The castle defended the city on the northern side.In 1381 the castle was described as a stone house in the Zingel of the grave. But nobody knew exactly the right instead.
