Monastery of Leca Balio

The Monastery of Leca Balio, which is part of the Church of Santa Maria de Leca Balio, located in the village and parish of the same name, in the municipality of Matosinhos, Oporto district in Portugal.
Neighbor to the mouth of Leca, about a league north of the historic center of Oporto, this is a copy of the original architecture religious fortified.It is assumed that the precise location where the monastery stands today will have been a Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter (first century), and a decia Villa near the place. Municipal Park Quinta da Conceicao

Quinta da Conceicao is a park located in public parish of Leca da Palmeira, municipality of Matosinhos, the district of Oporto, in Portugal. Initially the facility was the site of the Convent of Our Lady of Conception of the Order of St. Francis who arrived there in 1481. Some decade after the harsh climate led to the convent to leave the site.For over three centuries the site was abandoned and sold at auction only in 1834.
