By Railway

Although not currently have a stop, Lerma is traversed by the direct train Madrid-Burgos. However, it has been proposed many times to establish a regional train service that Madrid to Aranda de Duero, to then go to Lerma Burgos and link to other destinations like Vitoria and Valladolid.

Ducal Square (Plaza Mayor de Lerma)

Also known as Grand Plaza, was considered urban model. Palacio Ducal de Lerma

The Palace of Lerma occupies an entire side of the Plaza. Originally had a huge garden down to the river with fountains, palaces, and seven chapels, of which Christ is a call. They retain all documents relating to its construction. Work of the seventeenth century, begun in 1601, commissioned by the Duke of Lerma. Its architect was Francisco de Mora, considered one of the best of the time.During the Spanish Civil War the building was used as a prison. It is currently fitted out as a Parador Nacional de Turismo.

Prison Gate

Also called the Arc of the Jail. Of the four entries that had the villa, is the only door remaining medieval walls. Through it one enters the old town, being located in the west end of town, parallel road to Madrid.
The arch is flanked by two cylindrical towers with arrow slits. Although built in stone at the top has a brick added, the result of an extension made in 1610 with the aim of turning it into a prison, hence its name.Today, the building is the headquarters of the Ribera del Arlanza.

Collegiate Church of San Pedro

The Collegiate Church of St. Peter's Square located in Santa Clara in the town of Lerma, was consecrated in 1617 with great celebrations for the Court and the nobles, which lasted 13 days. The Duke got this abbey depended directly from Rome. The first thing that catches the attention of the Collegiate is the simplicity of its exterior.

Convento de San Blas

The Convent of San Blas in the town of Lerma is located in a square next to the Piazza Ducale, called San Blas. Style Baroque classicist, was begun in the early seventeenth century to house a community of nuns Dominican, whose religious life continues to this day. It is part of Conventual and historic city of Lerma and is therefore of cultural interest.

Convento de Santa Teresa

The Convent of Santa Teresa is a religious building, located in the town of Burgos of Lerma.Opened by Felipe III on October 27th of 1617, was inhabited by Carmelite friars. A year later came the transfer of the Blessed Sacrament Convent of Santa Teresa. From the twentieth century is used as a parish of Lerma during the winter months, and the cloister as the venue for the services of City Hall and the Tourist Office in the city.    

Monastery of the Ascension of Our Lord    

The Monastery of the Ascension of Our Lord or convent of nuns of Santa Clara Clare, located in the Plaza de Santa Clara in the town of Lerma, was the first convent was built and its founder was Dona Mariana Padilla, daughter of the Duke of Lerma, in the year 1604.In his church was named the Infanta Margarita Francisca in 1610.In December 2010 this community became a new religious institute called Jesu Communio, which was confirmed as Superior General Sister Veronica.
