How to Reach

By Train

The town is well-connected to the Mass Rapid Transit system with Bukit Batok,Jurong East,Chinese Garden,Lakeside,Boon Lay,Pioneer and Joo Koon stations.By 2016, Tuas station will open at the Gul industrial district of Jurong.

By Bus

The town is well-served by public bus services originating from 2 interchanges and 1 bus depot, namely the Jurong East and Boon Lay bus interchanges and Soon Lee Bus Depot.

By Road

Jurong is well connected to the rest of Singapore by road, with Kranji Expressway linking them to the northern part of Singapore, Pan Island Expressway linking them to the Eastern part of Singapore and the Ayer Rajah Expressway linking them to the south-eastern part of Singapore.Clementi Avenue 6 and Jurong Town Hall Road complement the 3 expressways, topping off the well-built road connection from Jurong to all parts of the island.

Jurong Reptile Park

is a tourist attraction in Singapore.It is opposite Jurong Bird Park and although they are not affiliated.It is located within the Boon Lay Planning Area of the Jurong district and has an area of 2-hectare.It has a collection of more than 50 species of reptiles and includes a walk through iguana enclosure and a footbridge over a collection of hundreds of crocodiles.There are crocodile feeding sessions and reptile shows.Reptile skin products can be bought in the showroom.

Jurong Bird Park

is a tourist attraction in Singapore managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore.It is a landscaped park, built on the western slope of Jurong Hill.It is located within the Boon Lay Planning Area of the Jurong district and has an area of 202,000 square metres (50 acres).Jurong Bird Park is now a world-famous bird zoo where there are specimens of magnificent bird life from around the world, including a flock of one thousand and one flamingos.It is currently the world's largest bird park in terms of number of birds and second largest in terms of land area after Germany's Vogelpark Walsrode.There are 4,600 birds of 380 species in Jurong Bird Park.To get to Jurong Bird Park, visitors would have to take the Mass Rapid Transit to Boon Lay MRT Station and transfer to SBS Transit Service 194 or 251 from Boon Lay Bus Interchange.

Snow City

is Singapore's first indoor snow centre located within the Science Centre, Singapore area beside Ommi-Theatre in Jurong East.Snow City introduces the concept of snow and cold climates in a fun, entertaining and educational way.Visitors can experience real snow, a sub-freezing climate and a three-storey high snow slope.Snow City is a joint venture by the Science Centre, Singapore and NTUC Income Co-operative Pte Ltd.The idea behind the collaboration was that Singapore being a tropical country, many Singaporeans have never had the opportunity to experience the cold climates and snow.With the set up of Snow City will give everybody a chance to learn more about snow, in a fun way.The 3,000 sq-metre centre was built at a cost of S$6 million and was officially opened in 2000.Visitors will first arrived at the Air Lock, which is maintained at 10°C.This allows visitors to become comfortable with the lower temperatures before they enter the chamber itself.Lessons for skiing and snowboarding is available at a fee.Ski & Snowboard equipments and winter apparels are also available at a retail shop namely Snowline located in Snow City.

Science Centre Singapore

is a scientific institution in Jurong East, Singapore, specialising in the promotion of scientific and technological education for the general public.With over 850 exhibits spread over eight exhibition galleries, it sees over a million visitors a year today and over 17 million visitors up to the year 2003 when it celebrated its silver jubilee.The Science Centre was born in from the then National Museum of Singapore into a separate institution so that the latter could specialise in its artistic and historical collections.This idea was first mooted in 1969 by the Science Council of Singapore and was subsequently approved by the government, who was keen to promote scientific education in the rapidly modernising country keen to tap into the technological sector.On 7 December 2007, the Science Centre rebranded itself to be known as "Science Centre Singapore".

Singapore Discovery Centre

is a attraction that offers engaging exhibits for everybody, providing insights into what makes Singapore ticks.In 1988, the idea of building a museum to showcase the history of the SAF was first mooted.This idea was later evolved into the concept of the S'pore Discovery Centre (SDC).However, SDC is not merely an educational tool for the SAF.It is a platform that provides plenty for Singaporeans to think about and helps them prepare for future challenges.In 2001, Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA) was selected as the design consultants for the project.RAA are planners, designers and producers of museum exhibitions, visitors centre and educational enivronments.They are behind many famous institutions such as the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. and the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.A presentation was made to the Singapore Totalisator Board in 2002 and a grant of S$25 million was approved.Redevelopment work started in December 2002.

Jurong Point Shopping Centre
