By Air

The airport is currently owned by the municipality of Jonkoping after a takeover by the CAA in early 2010. Jonkoping Airport has regular service to: Arlanda ( Stockholm ) with Skyways and Bromma(Stockholm ) with the Flight Line . The airport also has extensive overnight mail and cargo flights to domestic and international, and charter.

Jonkoping city park

Jonkoping's city park, opened in 1896 is a park in Jonkoping . Sofia Church

Sofia Church is a church in Jonkoping in Vaxjo diocese . It is the parish church in Sofia Jarstorps Assembly . Its name, the Church has received the Queen Sofia , King Oscar II 's consort.The church was built in neo-Gothic style in the late 1880s and opened on 8 April 1888 . The architect was Professor Gustav Dahl . The nave walls are worn on both sides by four pillars . Arches, which connect the columns , is sharp and gives the church an airy, spacious look. Housed in the Church of St. Peder's Chapel (named after the site's first shrine was dedicated to Peter ). Sofia Church was renovated and reopened to the public in 2005.

Backaby Church

Backaby church is a church in Backaby in Vetlanda in Sweden . The church belongs Lannaskede parish in Vaxjo diocese .The present church, built in stone, was erected at the turn of the century. It was built to replace Backaby old church dating back to the 1300s , who in 1902 moved to Jonkoping (which burned down in an arson fire in 2000 ). The current stone church was designed by architect Carl Moller and consists of nave , cows , vestry , two porch and tower. A major renovation took place in 1950 - 1951 .

Munksjo Bridge

Munksjo bridge is a bridge over the lake Munksjon in Jonkoping , inaugurated on 17 June 2006 . The bridge, which cost more than 100 million crowns , was at the time of construction the largest single investment Jonkoping done. The bridge was built to improve traffic situation in central Jonkoping. Bridge construction started in 2004 . At the opening ceremony was held Brofastivalen.The construction of the bridge was controversial from an environmental perspective, partly because of the mercury-containing sediments at its bottom that came from the adjacent Munksjo use.
