Mennonite Church

The Mennonite Church of Hindeloopen was built in 1653. At that time it was the largest Baptist church in Friesland. Originally a tweebeukige church, but the nave on the west side in 1838 transformed into verger. What was left was a church hall right closed in 1931, the Gardens had a new facade. The business- expressionist style of reddish brown brick facade is symmetrically divided. Besides the slightly forward-catching wide entrance party in the middle are two small rectangular windows. Sylhus

It is Sylhus monumental lock keepers house located on the east at 12 Hindeloopen .In the 17th century lock-keepers house was built in 1785 on the gable side of the dike a " lie bank "inserted. This bank serves as a meeting place primarily for the older male population of Hindeloopen.The bank was built between two stone walls under a roof resting on wooden pillars. The facade below the roof of the bank is the city arms of Hindeloopen bricked with the year 1619. At the top of the building is an open wooden bell tower with spire placed.

Lock Hindeloopen

Hindeloopen lock is a lock in Hindeloopen.The lock is the link for the recreational boating between the center and the harbor and IJsselmeer.The lock in Stavoren was already in the 17th century . Great Church
