Hattieburg Zoo at Kamper Park
The Hattiesburg Zoo is located among a grove of oak and pine trees in Kamper Park. The zoo takes up 12 acres (49,000 m2) of the 40-acre (160,000 m2) park. Upon entering the Zoo is a promenade that leads to the Africa section; this area contains prairie dogs. The African veldt contains antelope, monkeys, ostrichs, servals and zebras. In the South American exhibit area are capybaras, iguanas, jaguars, macaws, howler monkeys, llamas, tapirs and tigers. The tiger boardwalk gives a close view of American alligators. The park area has landscaped walking trails, grassy picnic areas, and playgrounds.

Timberton Golf Club
It is a great well maintained track to play on. Well worth the money that is charged to play. It is a fun 27 hole layout. The people in the pro-shop and the resturant are helpful and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone that likes a pretty setting in which to play golf.

Hattiesburg Country Club
Golf course is great. The golf shop and the grill area need some serious help with customer service. I've played this track several times, and the last time was my worst experience with customer service. Several members were angry guests were on the course. The golf shop did nothing about this problem. Not a very knowledgable golf shop staff. Not sure if they even have a pro. Played this course in 2008, was in great shape, and had a great pro and assistant that were very knowledable. Food and service in grill were awful! Great course!

Canebrake Golf Club
An 18-hole course designed by renowned designer, Jerry Pate. The course terrain varies greatly featuring rolling pine hills, dense hardwood lowlands, and open Mississippi farmland, all of which Pate tranformed into a golf jewel.

Historic Library
This two-story brick, seven-by-three bay building was built in 1929-30 in the style of Italian Renaissance. The main entrance to the building is on the 2nd floor. It now serves as the Hattiesburg Cultural Center.
