Parish Church

The Parish Church is a Roman Catholic church in the Upper Austrian town of Gmunden in the Salzkammergut. The most significant work of art is the Three king altar, a work of Bavarian Baroque sculptor Thomas Schwanthaler side with figures of Michael Zurn the Younger. The Epiphany Group is the model for many in the Salzkammergut created nativity scenes. Originally the church was Mary dedicated to the Baroque reconstruction of the Epiphany.

John & Sun plumbing museum

The museum is a sanitary toilet & Sun's museum in Gmunden. It turns out since 1988 historical sanitary items, which include toilets, sinks and bathtubs. The collection includes 300 exhibits, which the company running Austria AG and its former director Fritz Lischka as a permanent loan was made available.Since 2008, this museum is housed in a newly built house museum in Gmunden, Gmunden Kammerhof the K-farm museums. The K-Hof offers an exhibition space of over 2,000 m in 14 barrier-free -to-reach showrooms a chronological cross-section of the history of the city and the region of the geological Traunsee beginnings to the 21st Century, the focus of ceramics takes place with the more than 1,000 exhibits as the "golden thread" through all the exhibition spaces.

Castle Place

With a lock on a site is island in Lake Traun in Gmunden ( Upper Austria ) located Seeschloss known. The castle is an irregular system around a triangular courtyard with two-sided two-story porches and a late Gothic exterior staircase. Villa Toscana

The Villa Toscana in Upper Austria, Gmunden on Lake Traun is a 19th Century, this castle villa. The building was 1870-1877 amidst 88,000 m² large park as home of the Prince exiled Grand Duchess of Tuscany, Maria Antonia of Naples and Sicily built. The actual construction planners was the youngest of her ten children, Johann Salvator of Austria-Tuscany. Maria Antonia of Naples and Sicily had Florence left in 1859, after her husband, Leopold II, as Grand Duke of Tuscany had abdicated.1912 and 1913 bought the daughter of the entrepreneur Karl Wittgenstein, Margaret Anna Maria Stonborough-Wittgenstein, after his death the castle villa and huge grounds. She was married in 1904 with the American chemist Dr. Jerome Stonborough.

Cumberland Castle

The Cumberland Castle lies on a hill northeast of Gmunden in the vicinity of Lake Traun in Austria. On 2 October 1866 was the Prussian occupation of the Kingdom of Hanover. The King of Hanover, George V, had become by these events to a country without refugee who had to rely on the hospitality of his relatives and friend of princes.In spring 1868, the royal family arrived just as the imperial court in Vienna at a spa in the Salzkammergut. They took residence in the Villa Redtenbacher near Gmunden. Today even ducal property, known as the Queen Villa, was in the immediate vicinity of the castle.

Schloss Weyer

Weyer Castle is located in the same district of Gmunden on Lake Traun. The castle is surrounded by a wall, two-story, hook-shaped castle from the 16th century baroque chapel with a free-standing.The castle is privately owned. The owners use it to time including a gallery of Meissen porcelain and silverware.
