By bus

Eskilstuna bus goes by the name City bus . City buses are green in color and is run by Veolia Transport since 2002 , and their contract runs until the year 2011 . In Eskilstuna are around 70 buses, 20 of which run on environmentally friendly biogas . Work is underway to get bus stops in Eskilstuna as disabled as possible. Including raised curbs and paved walkways, people with walkers , strollers, wheelchairs, and more get easier to get to the bus. Although visually impaired are assisted by tactile tiles and contrast panels.

By Railway

Svealand line westward to Kungsor and Valskog (where it joins the Malaren Line . eastwards towards Strangnas and Sodertalje south where it connects to, among other things Grodinge line .

Railway line Sala-Oxelosund , which along part of the layout including routes operated by the so-called owl-train (on the route Uppsala - Vasteras , Eskilstuna, Norrkoping ).

Stenby ancient castle

Stenby ancient castle located in Eskilstuna Fors parish in Sodermanland . ancient castle is situated on a high mountain and is 140 times 100 meters high and measures 50 meters in diameter. The castle is limited by steep slopes and 300-meter stone walls are up to 2.5 meters high. In the north and south, supplemented by additional walls. At an archaeological excavation in the early 1980s found the castle burned sometime between 445 and 500 AD. It is considered unlikely that the castle used as a residence.

City Park

The park was established in 1877 and covered the period is six acres. City Park currently has an extensive bred trees and open grassy areas, expanded park paths with seating, flower beds, play areas and a stormwater pond. The park is shared by Nybron with West Street.
A music pavilion, built in 1943, was previously in the park and was used extensively for entertainment of varying kinds. Pavilion matured, however, in recent years and was demolished in autumn 2007. The City Park is also a summer café called Åbryggan. Previously, it has also been a miniature golf course adjacent to it.

Water Palace

Water Palace (originally Eskilstuna city bath house) is an indoor swimming pool and water park located in central Eskilstuna at the junction Drottninggatan / Harbour Way. The architect is Paul Hedqvist . The building is Q-mark . The hall opened in 1933 but was rebuilt and had to park, the country's first, 1985 . They marketed it as like "Why come to Mallorca where you can swim in the Water Palace. " The building houses now except a swimming pool and water park including a gym , a sauna, solarium and opportunities for massage . There is also a small shop and a cafeteria.

Rothoff Park

Rothoff park located south of Eskilstuna in the northwest corner of central Eskilstuna. The park was originally derived from Reinhold Rademachers applications in connection with his setting up in Eskilstuna in the 1660s. In the 1700s came, however, Frederick Rothoff to take over the area where he built a mansion in the style Carolinians 1786th He also came to give name to the English park he built in the area. Rothoff park is largely unchanged from this time and contains among other things, a carp pond and a herb garden, just about all of the Sweden-growing deciduous trees are also represented in the park. Eskil Park

The park surrounds Fors Church , located in Cental Eskilstuna. Bounded by Eskilstuna , Svealand line , Nygatan and Church Street. By the year 1900, it was a cemetery where the park is now located. It was Eskilstuna's first cemetery.

Harbour Park with Butter Square

Tree Planting Society funded and founded Harbour Park in the years 1883 to 1885. There are a variety of trees planted beech, linden, maple, pelarek, WHITEBEAM, copper, and not least a cork trees that should not be confused with the cork oak tree. Part of the park was transferred by the company to the city in 1886 and the remainder 10 years later. The transfer also included the city's first public art fountain called "Woman with cornucopia" The artwork is dated to 1897 and is made of bronze alloy castings.
Part of the park also contains a mini park with perennials and new trees and lighting. The work was completed in 2005. Carl Eldh's "The Dance" is part of the redevelopment.
