Djursholms Castle
Djursholms castle was formerly the main building on the estate Djursholm , which one thousand five hundred and eight - 1 813 was owned by the family Baner . It now functions as municipal offices in the municipality of Danderyd .
The castle includes parts of the building from the late Middle Ages . At a conversion during 1600's first half made it its present size and shape. In the 1890s the castle was restored in baroque style. Exterior design was simplified by a new restoration 1959 - 1961 . A new entrance with disabled mother to the castle was built on the north side of the year 2003 . The four rooms are stucco ceilings from 1600 century later part.
Djursholms chapel
Djursholms chapel run by an independent foundation in close cooperation with Danderyd congregation .The chapel was built when the villa community Djursholm had begun to grow up and people saw the need for a place of worship that was more centrally located than the old medieval parish church Danderyd Church . For some years church services were held in the castle hall Djursholms castle . It was a room that also include use of the newly established samskolans and class gymnasium. Wall bars were hidden on Sundays behind the dark blue cloths,A collection was started in 1897, and in the same year it was decided that the chapel would be built. It was financed entirely by donations. The nucleus of 4000 crowns donated by the English Quakers . The money is channeled by Louise Woods Beckman, who was the wife of one of society's founder, Ernst Beckman . The conditions of the donation is mentioned inter alia that "the church must forever be a free and independent church, over which the Board shall determine".Although Henrik Palme , who took the initiative to create community, his wife Anna, and engineer Jean Bolinder contributed large donations.
Cool
Cool is a former farm and modern residential area in northern Djursholm in Danderyd Municipality north of Stockholm .The farm is located next Nasby Bay in the Great Darkness . Cool was purchased in November 1883 by banker Henry Palme , who six years later would become the driving force in the creation of Djursholms Villastadsforening . He and his family used to cool down as a summer residence, but moved there permanently in 1886 when he had built a new main building a few hundred yards south of the old farm, which was built in 1803 and due.The new building was designed by architect Frederick Lillje Kvist
Old Djursholm
Old Djursholm is a peninsula located in Djursholm in the municipality of Danderyd . Peninsula, which is the southern tip of Germaniaviken , was formerly an island and the original site of a fortified manor in the early 1500s was moved a few hundred meters to the current location of the animal's castle . The first known castle lord was regent Nils Jonsson (Oxenstierna) , which took Djursholm between 1418 and 1450. The site may have been inhabited even earlier.The main building, a brick house in the medieval romantic style, is a private residence built in 1914 by Brother Fahraeus project contracting. The architect was Carl Westman , who also designed among other things, the Stockholm City Hall.In the 1920s the house was bought by the banker Oscar Rydbeck , who was a close associate of Ivar Kreuger .At the point the Old Djursholm are also several other houses of historical value.

Prince villa is a villa on Germaniavagen 14 A on Djursholm , designed by architect Ragnar Östberg and completed year 1909 . The villa was built over two years in the typical country house style with patterned wood facade, large bay windows and high ceilings.Client to Prinsvillan was Prince Erik, Duke of Vastmanland , youngest son of Gustav V and Victoria of Baden.It was built as a residence for Erik, who was epileptic and lived a very secluded life there until 1917.
