Chail is a hill station situated in Himachal Pradesh, India at an altitude of about 2,250 metres. It is widely known for the cricket ground and polo ground. The cricket ground has world's highest pitch. The place is surrounded by the forests of chir pine and large deodars. At night Shimla and Kasauli can also be viewed from here by looking across Satluj river. The other main attractions of this place are Chail Wildlife Sanctuary, Chail Military School, Chail Palace and Sidh Baba Ka Mandir. The best time to visit the place is between May to July and September to November.
