The palace of the Counts de la Encina

The palace of the Counts de la Encina is the best example of residential architecture in town. It was built in the late sixteenth century with the architectural features typical of the seventeenth century . In the eighteenth century its owners reached their maximum power, becoming Earl Bravo Juan Sebastian de la Encina in 1778 . The exterior features a simple facade made entirely with blocks of granite. The palace has two floors and is topped with a crown cantilever at whose center is the shield of John Sebastian and his wife Elizabeth Topete. Inside is a large courtyard with four large arches on pillars.

Palace of the Salazar Orive
 
A fourth palace is the palace of the Salazar Orive, which is divided into two parts. One is that which contains the main facade full of stones and shields of Orive and Paredes. Inside there are vaults and lunettes barrel on the spacious patio, now quite changed. In the corner of Constitution Street is another wing of the building, which was acquired as a home in early nineteenth century by the family of La Rioja from Lopez de Tejada, who settled in the front corner balcony and a large shield of his family 1804 .

Church of the Holy Martyrs
