By Air

Arua Airport is a civilian airport in the town of Arua, Uganda.It is the second busiest airport in Uganda, behind Entebbe International Airport.The airport is one of the thirty five airports in the country.The airport is near the town of Arua, approximately 371 kilometres (231 mi), by air, northwest of Entebbe International Airport, Uganda's largest airport.The coordinates of Arua Airport are 03 degrees 02 minutes 50 seconds north and 30 degrees 54 minutes 44 seconds east.Arua Airport is only 12 miles (19 km) from Uganda's border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo and about 20 miles (32 km) from the border between Uganda and Sudan.Taxi from Airport. 8 hour drive from Kampala.

By Train

A branch of the Ugandan Railways was extended to Arua sometime after 1964.But there has been no passenger rail service in Uganda for many years.Freight transport by rail to Arua is also unknown of nowadays.

Rhino Camp

Is a small trading center about 62 kilometers east from Arua on the west bank of the Albert Nile, it's the former site of Theodore Roosevelts safari camp and there are some abandoned facilities from that time around.Many people have turned up in this small town asking the locals the location of the Rhino Camp for accommodation.There is no commercial acccommodation in this small town.There are remains of an old cotton ginnery that was established in the 1940s when Rhino Camp was a town bustling with activity and had a steam ship stop over station for the route Butiaba-Nimule.The Ajai game Reserve is located 10 kilometers to the south.

Ajai Safari Camp

Tented deluxe safari camp in northern Uganda,within Ajai Game Reserve.See the web site for package trips.Tents are deluxe East African tents with full bed, attached bathroom with flush toilet and hot water shower.Thatched roof over head. Central dining room with restaurant and bar, chef and bartender.

Murchison Falls

Also known as Kabarega Falls, is a waterfall on the Nile.It breaks the Victoria Nile, which flows across northern Uganda from Lake Victoria to Lake Kyoga and then to the north end of Lake Albert in the western branch of the East African Rift.At the top of Murchison Falls, the Nile forces its way through a gap in the rocks, only 7 metres (23 ft) wide, and tumbles 43 metres (141 ft), then flows westward into Lake Albert.The outlet of Lake Victoria sends around 300 cubic metres per second (11,000 ft) of water over the falls, squeezed into a gorge less than ten metres (30 ft) wide.
