How to Reach

By road

  The A-6, Northwest highway that connects Madrid to La Coruna, this population communicates with the main cities of the northwest peninsula.
  The regional road CL-605 that links Segovia with Zamora.

By railway

The railway line Madrid- Hendaye stops in the municipality. In this same vein, the city is connected through its many regional trains to cities such as Madrid, Avila, Medina del Campo, Valladolid, Burgos, Palencia, Vitoria and Santander. However, until now Arevalo has been left out of trips projected Spanish High-Speed.

Castillo de Arevalo

The Castle is a fortress of Arevalo XV century, located in Arevalo, north of the province of Avila .The fort is located between the rivers Adaja and Arevalillo, which will serve as moats. It was built in the fifteenth century by order of Don Alvaro de Zuniga, Duke of Bejar .It has hosted many famous people as the wife of Peter the Cruel, Dona Blanca de Borbon, during his confinement by the rejection he suffered from that. After passing through the hands of the Constable of Castile, Don Alvaro de Luna, in 1476 became part of the Catholic Monarchs .

Parish Church of Santo Domingo de Silos

Parish Church of Santo Domingo de Silos was Built outside the walls and located in what is known as Plaza del Arrabal. It venerate the remains of San Vitorino, Arevalo pattern and the image of Our Lady of Sorrows, patron saint of the city.

Church of San Juan Bautista

Church of San Juan Bautista. Embedded in the wall, the tower was part of the 'Camino de Ronda', was the church of the palace that the Trastamara in Arevalo. It alone, together with the parish remains open to the worship of the faithful. Today it houses many works of art that were once in the church of San Nicolas de Bari. There is also the original carving of the Virgin of Sorrows, patron saint of the city and it was a very devout Catholic Queen Isabel (so much so that made them take this image to the Taking of Granada, becoming after the conquest of that city's patron saint).

Arevalo History Museum

The History Museum also known as Arevalorum Arevalo, is a museum dedicated to the history of the city. Located in the House of townships and depends on the City of Arevalo.The building which houses the museum is one of the highlights of the Plaza de la Villa and one of the most modified.

Church of El Salvador

The Church of El Salvador in Arevalo is a closed temple worship that amalgamates various architectural styles, as a result of successive transformations since its first factory in the Romanesque twelfth century .According to an apocryphal tradition, the origin of the temple dates back to the time of Roman Emperor Constantine, who ordered the erection in the year 336.

Church of St. Nicholas of Bari

The church of St. Nicholas of Bari is the temple of the college of Jesuits, founded in 1579 in the town of Arevalo. The church, which was under the patronage of St. James the Apostle, remained open until the expulsion of the Jesuits of the city in March 1793.

Church of Santa Maria la Mayor

The Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Arevalo is a Mudejar Romanesque work of the second half of the thirteenth century which is located in the village square, in a monumental enclosure interest formed by the Church of San Martin, San Miguel and San Juan and a set of traditional architecture, all around a porticoed square.

Church of San Miguel

The church of San Miguel de Arevalo dated to between 1507 - 1509. This work is comprised of thirteen tables organized into five blocks and three bodies. The frame that houses the image tables titled, overall, the tabernacle with the sanctuary are baroque. The reasons are represented in the holy predella grouped in pairs and with an architectural division. They are figures that recall the style of Berruguete. In the second and third body which seem to represent one of the two occurrences of San Miguel and scenes from the passion and death of Christ, paintings synthesize the artistic movement of the moment, which survive the current Hispanic Flemish Gothic late and the first revival .
