By Train

Ardooie is separated from Koolskamp by the railway line Adinkerke-Ghent.Until the mid-1980s years Ardooie had two NMBS- railway stations: one in the north of the main village and one on the quarter "De Kortekeer".

By Road

The motorway E403 runs through the west of the village and has two exits, one for Ardooie itself (exit 8) and one for the part-municipality Koolskamp (exit 9).On the other side of the village runs the N50 district road from Bruges to Kortrijk (the Rysselende Mill is built by this road).

Our Lady Immaculate Church

Our Lady Immaculate Church received on "The Tassche" An amphitheater-shaped church with freestanding cast iron tower 20m high.This church was designed by architects from Lucen Lattrez Ardooie one.Eggermont from Ghent.In the church Haitian sculpture of Andre Dimanche in Port-au-Prince.

Castle Ardooie

The castle of Ardooie is a castle in the Belgian municipality Ardooie.It is in classical style built at the end of the 18th century.It is next provincial domain t Veld, the actual castle estate of 28 hectares is private and not accessible to the public.The castle used to be better known under the name of the Chateau de Jonghe d Ardoye.The castle was built at the end of the 18th century (neo) classical style and was inhabited by the Lord of Ardooie, who also showed some chic d'Ardoye call.In 1984 it became a protected monument and it is still privately owned.The castle is located in Ardooie on a side road of the N50 on the border with the municipality Meulebeke on the edge of the forest t'Veld (44 ha) that has 3 ponds with a fish pond and cafeteria with playground and various footpaths.The place is also a melting pot of many local routes such as the Ardooisesteenweg Field Road, the Weaving Route, Route Bears.Also, the-highway molenland leads past it.

Muelenaere Mansion

now library Charles Van Dorpe built around 1830, in Napoleon's army veteran and surgeon, this mansion.He showed this classical building over to his nephew Conrad Muelenaere.After his death the house were occupied by his son, Dr. Georges de Muelenaere who exercised his practice until his death.Since late 1991 the library moved into this listed building.The walls of the garden is broken up and since 2005 is the Mgr.Roel Spark that is accessible to everyone and a green beacon center the center.

Ryssel Ende Mill

The Ryssel Ende Mill in Ardooie, is a type of stone mountain mill founded in 1767 and a protected monument.The mill has been restored and is once again able to grind grain.The mill is located at the busy intersection of the N37 and N50 Bruges - Kortrijk.The current owner is Paul Van Gierdegom.The mill was built in 1767, commissioned by David French.Originally a wooden post mill.In 1855 his heirs decided in the same place a brick mill mountain to raise.Then the mill changed ownership several times since 1926 and the mill was again widely used.In 1969 the mill was owned by an artist from Kuurne the mill inrichtte as home and studio.Paul Van Gierdegom took the mill in 1999.The mill now houses a restaurant and tea room, and is open every day from 11 to 22 hours.

Bomkapelleke in Kapellestraat

Bomkapelleke in Kapellestraat to Koolskamp.Then on June 20, 1944 to 72 villagers for a bidstonde around this chapel had spawned, broke up a bombardment Koolskamp loose.A bomb fell 5 meters from the chapel, in the middle of the crowd, and broke into 2 pieces through the middle without exploding.Miraculously were no deaths or injuries.Thus it is that popularly renamed the Sacred Heart Chapel in the 'Bomkapelleke.Still annually on 20 June this event commemorated by a pilgrimage to this chapel and religious services.
