By Train

St.Leonhard Church

The Haslerhau and Hohbuehl (two separate groups of Iron Age burial mounds) and the Catholic Church of St.Leonhard are listed as Swiss heritage sites of national significance.At the burial mounds, graves of men, women and children were found.The men were buried with spears, the women with rich ornaments and its wide variety bronze vessels including a rare accumulation of large vessels which indicates a considerable wealth of the people buried here.

Circus Monti

The Circus Monti is a Swiss circus family owned Muntwyler.The Circus Monti is a well-known throughout Switzerland circus which was founded in Wohlen and here is his winter quarters.It was founded in 1985 and twice won the Prix Walo.Since 2001, at irregular intervals in a field east of the village the open-air rock festival held-sound arena the performers were appearing here including a-ha, crocus, Melanie C, Status Quo and Toto.During eight months of touring the Circus Monti the German-speaking Switzerland.The big top has space for approximately 800 spectators.In the Circus Monti during the tour about 60 people including about 20 people artists and musicians.

Lucerne Carnival

is the largest annual event of the city of Lucerne and Central Switzerland.It is - according to the Basel carnival and before the Bernese Carnival - the second biggest carnival in Switzerland.The carnival begins on Dirty Thursday ("Schmotzige Donnschtig"), the Thursday before Carnival Monday.By 5 clock in the morning, the festival begins.A boat with Brother Fritschi and his Fritschifamilie travels aboard the Lake Lucerne in Lucerne on Schweizerhofquai one.Brother Fritschi is the imaginary head of the largest and oldest guild of Lucerne, the Safran guild (founded in 1400).The "Big Bang" a very loud detonation gives Guuggenmusigen and all the revelers the signal for the start of carnival.

Low mats stadium

is located in Lower mats Wohlen and is home to the football club FC Winterthur.The stadium is owned by the municipality Wohlen.The total capacity of 3734 seats.Of these 634 seats and 3,100 standing places.The playing surface is natural grass.The stadium is part of the Sports Centre Lower mats.It includes apart from the football stadium one athletics facility with 400-meter running track an inline hockey court two soccer training fields and nine tennis courts.Construction began in fall 2002 and were completed in spring 2004.

Kant-Forum

The Kant-Forum is an independent cultural institution based at the college which is aimed at an audience with high expectations.The Circolo ACLI (Associations Christiane Lavoratori Italiani) is dedicated to cultural and social projects for the dialogue with the great Italian-speaking minority.In addition there in probably a cinema in addition to the usual current films it shows in collaboration with the film club several times a year Wohlen little-known auteur films.
