By train

There are two rail lines crossing Veenendaal. The most central station is connected to Utrecht and terminates in Rhenen.If you're travelling from the east it's probably a good idea to travel to Veenendaal-de Klomp. It has a direct connection to Arnhem and Utrecht as well, you can take a bus into the town centre.

By car

Veenendaal is easily reached by car from the A12 (Utrecht - Arnhem).

Old Church

The Old-Church of St. Salvator in the Dutch city of Veenendaal was built in 1566 . The 'nijeuwe Veenkercke' was a late-aisled Gothic church. Years later the church was expanded with aisles.With St. Saviour, to whom the church is named, is probably the holy name of St. Saviour's, name for Jesus Christ as Savior means. Today the church is usually referred to as "Old Church" and not as "St. Salvator Church.The Reformed Church, founded 1539, was enlarged in 1753 and 1835, brick building with aisled choir on the north and south along four bays widened.
The choir is vaulted with stone. The rest of the church with wood. On the roof is a dakruiter applied. This is a mechanical tower clock made by Van Bergen of Heiligerlee.

The Friendship

The windmill stands at the Friendship Nieuweweg Veenendaal .It is an octagonal wooden thatched mill on square stone base, built in 1872 as a successor to the mill demolished about 1870 Molenstraat Sticht Veenendaal called "Old Mill". The wooden octagon was not newly built and all waarschijnlijheid from another, demolished mill. In 1952, the ongoing work of the mill removed to make room for silos. Since 1995, the mill, however, fully recovered.The mill has two pairs again with 16der artificial stones . The supply of grain is completely automated and disposal of the flour, which is collected in big bags. At a wind force of 4 Bft can couple times per 300 kg of grain per hour milled.

The New Mill

The New Mill is a windmill that stands to save Mulder Veenendaal.The windmill is a round stone mill , built in 1911 and was built as the successor of a mill with the same name. The mill was built with parts of a watermill in North Holland. The mill has two pairs driven by the mill grinding stones and electric torque. The track wheel is fixed dams.The mill has a flight of 26.00 meters. The sails are rigged Old Dutch.During a heavy downpour on Saturday, March 9, 2002 lost the mill afloat by a shaft breakage are all sails and the hood was horrified. The sails fell on the roof of the nearby home of artist Hannah Black . In 2003 the mill was restored. In the shopping area are flour and mill products sold.
