The Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum, is located in downtown Vallejo, within easy walking distance of the beautiful waterfront and several fine coffee houses and restaurants. Mare Island Naval Shipyard
Excellent Mare Island tour. Tour guide talks about history from 1854 - 1996. There are 19th & 20th century houses and industrial buildings, and wartime artifacts. There is a beautiful chapel with Tiffany windows where weddings are still held. A mansion has a beautiful botanical garden for weddings. See the first Naval base on the west coast and the oldest Naval chapel in the U.S.
