Great or Saint-Martin (Tiel)

The Great or St. Martin's is a church in Tiel in the province of Gelderland. It is an unfinished late Gothic cruciform, consisting of a ship with a freestanding bell tower and sacristy.

St. Dominic Church (Tiel)

The Dominic Church is a Roman Catholic church in Tiel in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The church is located at the St. Walburg Kerkpad in the center of Tiel and was built in 1939-1940. The church stands on the site where the former church from 1861, also called St. Dominic, on July 8, 1938 was destroyed by fire.On the site of the present church was until 1860 a so-called hidden church. Because since the reform in 1578 in Tiel the Protestants prevailed, beleidden the Catholic faith their residents from the outside in unmarked church buildings. Over the years, the relationships between different denominations tolerant. Because of this and by the shortage in the old hidden church, was built in 1860 a new church. Presumably by careless painters broke out during the Holy Mass on Friday, July 8, 1938 fire. Within a few hours, the whole church be considered lost. In the period 1939-1940 is the current Dominic Church built to a design by JJ Halteren, a Christocentric church in traditionalist style.

Wadenoijen

Wadenoijen is a village in the municipality of Oss in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The village lies on the river Linge. In ancient writings the name was written as Wadake and Wadehem and other similar forms, such Vadae, Vadense, Vadensis.The name of the village is derived from the old Dutch words wada and oye, respectively ford and pasture mean. Wadenoijen made from 1811 to 1817 part of the municipality Zoelen, and then was an independent municipality until 1956 that the village also Drumpt and the hamlet Passewaaij included.

Appelpop and Fruit Parade

Every year in the second weekend of September, the nationally known events Appelpop and Fruit Parade organized. With an attendance of well over 300,000, this, at the Nijmegen four days after, the biggest event of Gelderland.
