By Air

Taganrong Yuzhny Airport (IATA: ТАL) is a small regional airport with flights only from Moscow and a few local villages.A much better option for arrival by air is to take a flight to the larger Rostov-on-Don Airport (IATA: ROV) in nearby Rostov-on-the-Don which have good international connections with Europe.

By Train

The railway which passes through the town connects with the Taganrog Rostov-on-Don and the cities of the Donetsk region of Ukraine such as Ilovajskij, Hartsyzsk etc.The city has two railway stations and two commercial stations: Taganrog-I - Chief (aka new) station,Taganrog-II - Suburban (aka Old) railway station, goods station and Martsevo - the largest cargo station is a stop for commuter trains in the direction of the Assumption.

By Bus

There is also a developed network of shuttle bus service from Rostov-on-the-Don and other neighboring cities and villages of Rostov Oblast and across the border from Ukraine.

By Ferry

Taganrog City Architectural Development Museum

is a museum's building represents one of the city's architectural pearls.The modern-style mansion was built by the project of the architect Fyodor Schechtel in 1912 and belonged to merchant Sharonov.The majolica panel decorating the frieze of the building was produced by Abramtsevo workshop based on the sketches by such renowned artists as Nicholas Roerich, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov.The museum offers its visitors a seven-hall exposition that chronologically shows the architectural History of Taganrog and the life of its inhabitants from the city's foundation until nowadays.In addition to old postcards, photographs and maps, it showcases unique samples of furniture and arts and crafts.The exhibition halls present collections from the Taganrog Museum Reserve, famous peoples wax figures, private art collections, photo exhibitions, artworks of local painters etc.

Taganrog Museum of Art

an art museum in Taganrog, founded in 1898, the year of the 200th anniversary of Taganrog.The collection contains more than 6 thousand.The idea of creating a city museum in Taganrog belonged to A.
