St. George's Church

is located at Tasinge.It has Roman ship, choir and apse while the tower is from the 1600 figure.Church entrance has since approx. 1870 been located at the western side of the tower over the porch.From the old now blinded mandsdor in the church's south side have picked a Romanesque entrance portal at the top has a tympanum with a throne, crowned figure of Christ.The sides have two reliefs in granite, depicting a lion and a centaur.The latter figure is reproduced on the back of the Danish 50 kroner banknote.

Svendborg Theatre

Svendborg Theatre is located in the center of Svendborg city.Svendborg Theatre was built in 1897 designed by Emil Schwanenflugel but there has previously been other theaters and buildings that were used by the theatrical life and entertainment use.Theatre's first director was Oddgeir Stephensen.

Backyard theater

is a egnsteater located in Svendborg.Theatre Manager's Lasse Bo Handberg.backyard theater started as amateur in 1963 and received in 1976 the first grant from the Ministry of Culture.That same year the theater moved into the old revue theater Rottefeldens premises which is used only for revue in the summer and was therefore available for other uses throughout the year.In 1981 the theater looking for the first time about the status of egnsteater but was refused.Instead the theater began an extensive tour company to raise funds for the operation. In 2007 the theater again sought for inclusion in egnsteater scheme and this time their efforts crowned with success and signed a three-year egnsteater agreement whereby the theater now supported by both the State and partly Svendborg Kommune.

Svendborg Museum

is a Danish museum of local and cultural history, located in Svendborg.The museum was founded in 1908 by Svendborg County Museum and has since 1913 been operated as a nationally recognized, independent and non-profit museum. It has an associated museum society.Svendborg Museum today consists of five departments including a forsorgsmuseum and Egeskov Mill.The museum covers both archeology the city's history as a seafaring town as well as the region's recent history.

Forsorgsmuseet Viebeltegard

is part of Svendborg Museum.It is a social history museum that tells the story mainly about welfare in Denmark.The various exhibitions show how society has treated its most vulnerable, both children and adults.The exhibition tells about the people on life's dark side and what the welfare state and private sector has done to help them.The museum is housed in the former market town Svendborg Poverty and Employment Institution.Complex from 1872 was the construction perceived as a hyper-modern and forward looking solution to the Svendborg's poor should be.In 1933 took place from being a workhouse to become Labour Institution Viebeltegard and in 1961 to care homes Viebeltegard.

Naturama Zoological Museum

Naturama is the name of Svendborg Zoological Museum.From the museum's opening on 2nd June 1935 to January 2005, bore the name of the Zoological Museum.The 30th April 2003 was the construction of a new exhibition building commenced and the third September 2003 to Queen Margrethe II and Henrik, Prince Consort dismantle the building foundation.The 18th April 2005, the new exhibition building opened increasing the museum's area from 700 m2 to 4,200 m2.
