By Air

Slupsk-Redzikowo Airport is now defunct, however, it once worked as a regular passenger airport of local significance.Several plans to eventually reopen it failed because of lack of funds.The facility was earmarked for use within the US missile defense complex as a missile launch site.Policy changes by the US government regarding the missile shield have made this development unlikely however.

By Train

Slupsk is a railway junction with four lines running north, west, east and south from the city.Currently one station opened January 10, 1991 serves the whole city.This is a class B station according to PKP (Polish Railways) criteria.The city has rail connections with most major cities in Poland: Bialystok, Gdansk, Gdynia, Katowice, Krakow, Lublin, lodz, Olsztyn, Poznan, Szczecin, Warsaw and Wroclaw and also serves as a junction for local trains from Kolobrzeg, Koszalin, Lebork, Miastko, Szczecinek and Ustka.Slupsk is the westernmost terminus of the Fast Urban Railway serving the Gdansk conurbation.

By Bus

Buses bus-u can get from Slupsk among others to Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Gdynia, Warsaw, Jelenia Gora, Zakopane, Katowice, Cieszyn, Torun, Poznan, Swinoujscie, Wroclaw.Slupsk Car Transport Company also supports local routes in the districts of Slupsk, Lebork and slawienskiego.Bus station is located at street Kollataja.Organization engaged in public transportation Transport Authority based in Slupsk.The main carrier in the Municipal Department of Communications based in Kobylnica.It supports 15 urban bus routes and two commuter.From 1910 to 1959 in Slupsk operated tram communication.In the years 1985 - 1999 the city also plied trolleybuses.Municipal Department of Communications Sp. zoo in Slupsk care of both public transport and suburban transport linking the city with surrounding localities.

By Road

Slupsk used to be traversed east-west by European route E28, which is known as National route 6 in Poland until a bypass running to the south of the town to carry the 6/E28 traffic was built.The bypass is a part of Expressway S6 which when completed some time after 2015, will give Slupsk a fast road connection to Szczecin and Gdansk.The city can also be accessed by the National route 21 from Miastko, Voivodeship route 210 from Ustka to Unichowo and Voivodeship route 213 from Puck.Local roads of lesser importance connect Slupsk with surrounding villages and towns.The city's network of streets is well developed but many of them require general refurbishment.The city is currently investing significant sums of money in road development.

Komeda Jazz Festival

The Komeda Jazz Festival and the Krzysztof Komeda Composers Competition has been held in Slupsk, Poland each November since 1995.The festival and the competition is dedicated to the memory of the Polish musician Krzysztof Komeda.Leszek Kulakowski, jazz pianist and composer, is the initiator of this event and was also the first one to arrange Komeda’s music for symphonic orchestra.

St. Mary's Church

Its construction began in the years 1276 and 1280.After the probable destruction it was rebuilt in 1350.During the fire in 1476 was destroyed then rebuilt on a much grander form.In 1803 the chapels were demolished completely from the north.In 1853 was made a radical reconstruction of the church.Inside among others interesting baroque pulpit, Gothic Passion group, contemporary stained glass.In 2004 the head of the tower was reconstructed baroque church, which suffered after the great fire of 1945 the Red Army moved to Slupsk.Part of the funds for the reconstruction came from the public collection the rest from sponsors and the City.In 2009 restored the non-existent since World War II on the tower clocks and synchronized with their bells.

Pomeranian Dukes Castle

Pomeranian Dukes Castle in Slupsk - built in 1507, the the reign of Prince Boguslaw X in the Gothic style.In the years 1580 - 1,587 was converted into two-storey building in Renaissance style with large windows and ornate tower.It is located in the vicinity of the river Slupia, within the old medieval city of Slupsk.Nearby is the Castle mill.In the sixteenth and seventeenth century was the residence of Pomeranian princes of the dynasty of the Griffin. Rainbow Puppet State Theatre

was founded in 1946 at the initiative of two actors - state Czaplinskich Elizabeth and Thaddeus.His activities began Christmas spectacle "Crib Poland" (Louis Szczepanski).Originally operated as a family, a private theater wandering.It was not until twenty years later in 1966, the received a permanent office in Slupsk Warynskiego street.Greatest importance for the management of the Theatre was Sophia Miklinskiej and Stanislaus Mirecki (1969 - 1991) because the predominant trend of regional productions for several years distinguished among other rainbow of national puppet theaters.

Rondo Theatre

Museum of Central Pomerania

International Festival of Sport Bridge

one of the largest Polish festivals bridge sport on the international scale which takes place every year during the summer in Slupsk.The festival was founded under the aegis of the Regional Slupsk "Solidarity" and known brydzystow.The first game took place in the summer of 1991.Then every year held subsequent editions.Since 1996 the festival is dedicated to the memory of Grandmaster Henry Free.Currently the competition organizer is the Association of International Sports Festival Bridge "Solidarity".The main prize of the festival is a long-term scoring car.The total prize pool amounts to 200 thousand.

Griffin Market

Fair Griffin is organized in the summer season in Slupsk, with the participation of the Museum of Central Pomerania.During the trade fair takes place starociami, numizmatami, jewelry, bartniczymi products, handicraft art, etc. and also hosts concerts, art performances and demonstrations of medieval fighting.The stands are arranged merchants on the square in front of Richter Granary near the castle in Slupsk.
