By plane

Three major airlines, Poland's national carrier Polish Airlines LOT, German Lufthansa and low-cost RyanAir fly to Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport (IATA: RZE). Domestic flights operated by LOT connect Rzeszów directly with Warsaw's Frederic Chopin Airport and other Polish cities with stop-over in Warsaw Airport . International flights are operated by LOT , Lufthansa and RyanAir . Flights operated by Lufthansa may be connected to many cities all over the world with stop-over in Frankfurt. Jasionka International Airport is near Rzeszow

By train

The Polish State Railways have train connections with majority of Polish cities, but for long distance there is usually one or more changes. Usually, at least one direct train connection exists between Rzeszów and major Polish cities. There are different categories of trains, but time of the journey is rather similar. There are also direct services to Lvov, Odessa and Kiev in Ukraine. The connections and price can be checked in the website, but it is possible to buy on-line only tickets for selected trains InterCity and TLK. Tickets can be bought at the railway station.

By car

Rzeszów is situated on the European route E40. You can easily get there by car from Krakow, Lublin and Sandomierz or from eastern (E40 - Ukraine) and southern (nr 9 or E371 - Slovakia) border. Rzeszów is not served by any major motorways, though the A4 Motorway from Kraków is currently under construction and due to open before 2012.

Lancut Castle

Lancut Castle is a 17th-century palace in Łańcut, Poland. It now houses a large museum. The castle is situated in the centre of the town and constructed in the style of a grand aristocratic palace-residence.The site was originally occupied by castle built by Stanisław Lubomirski in 1629–42.The owner secured the services of architect Matteo Trapola and the stuccoist Giovanni Battista Falconi, in order to build a fortified residence

The summer palace of the Lubomirski Family

It has been the pride of Rzeszow since Saxon times. It was erected by Tylman of Gameren for Hieronim Augustyn Lubomirski at the end of the 17 century.The magnate had always cherished the dream of the palace in which the company Castle rest. However, it was Karol Wiedemann, the architect from Saxony, who made the palace truly splendid. He completed its reconstruction in 1746. The Saxon also deserves credit for establishing gorgeous garden near the palace.

The Diocesan Museum

The Museum is currently located in the building of the Diocese of Rzeszów adapted for this purpose the basement. It gathered a number of exhibits from the diocese. Several parishes provided the sculpture, which require renowacji.The Diocesan Museum was set up in 1998 in a historic building of the Curia. The museum owns an interesting collection of paintings, sculptures, Liturgical Vessels and vestments from the fourteenth to the Nineteenth Century
