Palácio Rio Branco

One of the most famous Palaces of Rio Branco, it was built in 1930 for the seat of the state government. In 1999, a process began of restaurants of property, respecting its historical character and its undeniable value political architectural and culture l. In 2008, it was transformed into a museum of history, exposing important facts about the history of the city and state since its inception.

Cathedral of Our Lady of Nazareth

Opened in 1959, it was constructed in the style of an ancient Roman basilica. Its interior has three naves, separated by 36 stained-glass windows, donated by families Acre. The exterior is composed of gables, the cross, and the churchyard. In 2007, the church was considered public property of the state of Acre.

Square Plácido de Castro

Also known as the Square of the Revolution, it is located in the heart of the city, opposite the headquarters of the Military Police of Acre. It underwent a recent reconstruction.

Memorial Autonomists

It has a museum on the acquisitions of Acre by the Brazil, exhibition of paintings by regional artists, a coffee and drama theatre. The Memorial provides the public a large collection of historic photos of the state, as well as historical objects used during the Revolution Acre.

Catwalk Joaquim Macedo

A catwalk for pedestrians linking the two districts of the city. Passing over the Acre River, the catwalk was built with cable suspension and completed in 2006. Museum of rubber The museum includes parts of Archeology, Paleontology, and a historical collection of manuscripts and documents relating to the history of Acre.
