Liebfrauenberg Church
The parish and pilgrimage church of Our Lady of the Visitation and Loreto Chapel (also Basilica Rankweil) is a Roman Catholic basilica in the Austrian Rankweil in the center of the town rising Liebfrauenberg. The to the Diocese of Feldkirch belonging church was built in 1985 on the basilica minor charged.Of the former castle of the Counts of Montfort no remnants remain. From the year 1470 was a pre-existing fortified church renewed and enlarged. Peter Church
The parish church of St. Peter's is a Roman Catholic church in Rankweil .The church was built in 881 in the possession of the Bishop of Chur, and was the mother church of the Petronillakapelle in the Old City , the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Feldkirch, and the churches in Rhötis, Klaus, Montlingen, Meiningen, Koblach, slush, and Gofis. In the years 1238 to 1806 the church was in possession of the monastery of Kreuzlingen . In 1833 the church as vicar of the church of Our Lady Church is subordinate to Rankweil. The title of parish church was restored in 1885 and 1891. The church stands in a walled cemetery in the churchyard wall eingebundenem ossuary . The church is a Romanesque choir tower church with a strong wall with gable roof. On the north tower, a sacristy with a shed roof is attached
Roman Villa
The Roman Villa of Brederis was the first time in 1954 the subject of archaeological investigations by the Vorarlberg State Museum. The unit was then excavated and preserved was the first open-air museum in Vorarlberg.In the years 2003 to 2007, another part of the Roman villa was excavated, which turned out to be the actual main building. From the market town of Rankweil was to publish an extensive archaeological excavation, which is available at the Town Hall of the municipality.
Spinning Rhomberg
This facility was built in 1839 by Ohmaier, with a few additions built in two phases and acts today as a unified whole. The building is one of the oldest Spinnereibauten the country.Because of its location between water and no road expansion options were available, so that was necessarily a compact object, which seems to grow together as the topography. The quiet volume, windows, and not least the good patch of industrial water tower gave a fundamental beauty.
