Old Castle

Church of the Transfiguration

Quickly sprawling fences and thus ingrown number of people forced city government to decide to build a new church.In 1883 it was in 3000 the faithful and the old church where they had to accommodate.Decision about the destruction of the old church and build a new one.Patron fences Count Karl von Osten wrote for this purpose in his will 120,000 marks.Nearly 20 years later 8 czerwca 1902 years a cornerstone for building a new church.Construction went extremely quickly and now June 16, 1903 the investment was completed.Has features neo-Gothic church.Inside noteworthy stained glass from the early twentieth century, organ pipes complete with silver gilding.
