By Air

Pescara is served from an airport international called Abruzzo International Airport (Aeroporto di Pescara) that connects not only the city but also the entire region with many Italian and European destinations like Barcellona-Girona, Bruxelles-Charleroi, Francoforte-Hahn, Londra-Stansted, Parigi-Beauvais, Milano-Bergamo, Cagliari, Eindhoven, Oslo-Torp, Verona, Tirana, Toronto, and Milan.

By Train

The city also has a train station Pescara Centrale railway station which is the largest in Abruzzo and one of the largest in the whole of Europe, connecting it with the most important Italian cities like Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Bari, Ancona, Trieste and many other cities. Other stations are less than those of Pescara Porta Nuova, Pescara Tribunale and Pescara San Marco.

By Bus

Pescara is served from several bus lines (operated by GTM, Gestioni Trasporti Metropolitani) and Arpa (Autolinee regionali pubbliche abruzzesi).There is a direct bus line to Roma Tiburtina (Rome) via Pescara Centrale (about a two and a half hour ride).

By Trolleybus

It is building a trolleybus line that will connect the city with its strategic points like Pescara Centrale railway station and the Abruzzo International Airport and other nearby cities.

By Ferry

Pescara also has a port: Port of Pescara.In the summer there are ferries and hydrofoils to Croatia run primarily by SNAV to Split and islands in central Dalmatia.

Pescara Cathedral

is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the Via D'Annunzio in the city of Pescara.The cathedral, dedicated to Saint Cetteus, patron saint of Pescara, has been the seat of the Archbishop of Pescara-Penne since the creation of the archdiocese in 1982.The present Romanesque Revival building, originally called the Tempio della Conciliazione ("Temple of Conciliation"), was constructed in the 1930s, replacing the medieval church of San Cetteo.The construction of the present church was linked with the wave of intensive building activity that accompanied the creation of the city and province of Pescara in 1927.The medieval church of St. Cetteus (Italian: Chiesa di San Cetteo) that formerly stood on the site had fallen into such disrepair that it was demolished (a few traces of the old building can be seen on the pavement opposite).The construction of the new church was vigorously promoted by the writer Gabriele D'Annunzio, who had been baptised in the demolished church, and who was a generous donor to the project.

Cathedral of St. Cetteo

is a church in the city of Pescara, located in Via D'Annunzio and dedicated to St. Cetteo , the patron saint of the city.The original name of the building, the Temple of Reconciliation, is related to the arrangement of fascist Italy with the Catholic Church.Its design is close to ' neo-Romanesque architecture.The church is linked to the building in the city intensified after the establishment of the province of Pescara of 1927 : the old church of San Cetteo located in the area and reduced in a poor state was demolished to make way for new (they are to note the remains of the earlier building on the sidewalk in front of the church).The construction of the new church was strongly desired by Gabriele d'Annunzio , who also started their own financial funds.D Annunzio consulted with the architect Cesare Bazzani , and wanted to find a place in this church for burial mother.The work came to an end in 1939 , but the facade had to be reconstructed even after the events of World War II.

Museum House of Gabriele D'Annunzio

Civic Museum Basilio Cascella

is a museum of Pescara.The building, located at the bottom of the Acacia Street, was transferred from the municipality as Basilio Cascella , between the end of the nineteenth and early twentieth century , as long as you opened a graphic arts lab.Thus was born an artistic school that attracted a large number of young people and became an important nucleus for the local culture and national level.In 1966 the laboratory was transferred to the municipality of Pescara, which transformed it into a museum in 1975.Today it houses works by Basilio Cascella, sons Thomas, Michael, Joachim and his sons Thomas, Andrew and Peter.Also retains some original period furniture, sketches, ceramics, stone lithographs, sketches and postcards.
