By Air

Pelotas International Airport (IATA: PET, ICAO: SBPK), which was originally built in 1930, serves 130,000 passengers annually with two runways.It is located in the neighborhood of Tres Vendas.In 1997 the whole airport complex was extensively renovated and a new terminal was opened in 1998. In 2001 it was upgraded to international status.Pelotas is commonly used by the Brazilian Air Force as the last stop in Brazil on their flights to the Brazilian Antarctic Base.

The city also has a bus system which connects the junction of two major highways (BR-116 and BR-392) nearby.

By Road

Pelotas is bordered by highways BR-116 and BR-392.Both roads are part of the pole toll concessionaire Ecosul.
