By plane

Stockholm Skavsta Airport is located approximately 7 km from Nykoping city center and about 10 mil from Stockholm . Former F 11 Nykoping Wing area is today Nordic base for the airline Ryanair . From Skavsta flights including Apollo Travel Ltd , Leisure Travel , Gotlandsflyg , Wing and Wizz Air .

By bus

By train

By road

At Nykoping crossing the highway on E4:an. A characteristic feature of this highway is the resting place Nykopingsbro which lies just west of Nykoping and consisting of a broliknande building that is built over the freeway.An important way to/from Nykoping is Highway 53 between Oxelosund and Eskilstuna . It consists of motorway between Nykoping and Oxelosund, but keeps a lower standard of Nykoping and Eskilstuna. Highway 52 runs from Nykoping to Orebro from Katrineholm . There are approximately 15 mil between Nykoping and Orebro.

St. Nicholas Church

St. Nicholas Church is a church building in Nykoping Sankt Nicolai church . It is located at the main square and is the parish church.The church tower is a carillon that plays four times a day, at 9, 12, 15 and 18. The present hymn tunes is apparent from the church website. The original church seems to be a small cross-shaped stone church from the mid- 1200s . Parts of this are found in the north and south exterior walls and in the western pelarparet. One of the earliest tasks of the church comes from the 1300s. A major fire struck the church in the 1390's . Possibly, this has a connection with the revitalized campaign against the brothers Nykoping. In the 1400s the church received its tower. As in several other cities on both sides of the Baltic Sea was built the great tower in the west during Engelbrektsfejdens days. To the 1500s belong spacious church vestry . The years 1665 and 1719 the church was hit by fire.

All Saints Church

All Saints Church is a church building in Nykoping in Strangnas pins . It is the parish church in Nykoping All Saints parish.The church is tornlos and has an unclear genesis. Already in the 1200s is mentioned Templum Omnium Sanctorum in writing. In the late 1500s the church was rebuilt to its current design, with three ships. A little later came the present chancel.It Tungelska chapel were added in the 1660s. In 1665 the church burned with limestone columns were covered with brick . Above one of the entrances to the church is God's name YHWH in Hebrew characters

Gripe Model Teater museum

Gripe Model Theatre Museum in Nykoping is a model theater collection consisting mainly of artist Harald Gripe collection that he donated to the municipality of Nykoping 1992nd The museum was opened in 1997 and is the only of its kind. Gripe Model Theatre Museum is one of four genuine model theater museums throughout Europe

Sormlands Museum

Sormlands museum is a regional museum in Stockholm County . The museum has cultural orientation and reaches approximately 100,000 visitors per year and has annual sales of about SEK 30 million annually. Exhibits are typically found in the so-called King's Tower in Nykoping and the old governor residence and in an open air art gallery, but these are in current situation closed due to refurbishments. In addition to the business of the permanent premises in Nykoping's museum is also in many other places in the county, including the sign project "History of Sodermanland" to proceed with in cooperation with the municipalities in the county

Culturum

Culturum is Nykopings culture containing library and concert hall with 538 seats. It was designed by Lars Gauffin, Nyréns architect's office and was inaugurated on 11 February 1989 by the then Minister of Culture Bengt Goransson .The building was built in modern Scandinavian design with an interior dominated by blond wood.

Gazebo

Gazebo in Nykoping (formerly Pelles Gazebo) is a museum shop, including a plate collection, and an old-fashioned country store . The premises are also used for art exhibitions, concerts, theater performances and other cultural activities.The pavilion is built of cedar and glass in conjunction with a bolt factory from the 1800s near Nykoping . The initiator and financier was nykopingsbon Pelle Nilsson.
