Katunayake airport (CMB) is closer to Negombo than Colombo. Most Hotels arrange pick up but at a very high cost (around 1500 to 2500 Rupiya) A cheaper Option is to take the Free Shuttle Bus from the Arrival Terminal to Katunayake bus stop which is just 5 minutes away and then take a tuk tuk to your hotel in Negombo for 400 to 500 Rupiya.

Negombo Beach

Negombo is famous for its very wide and beautiful beach stretching several kilometers. At the end of the beaches are located more expensive hotels, with beautiful palm trees and swimming pools. On the beach you can enjoy water sports such as around the world. Walk along the beach, local souvenir vendors.

Fish Market

Visited the Fish Market in Negombo recently and wont forget in a hurry! Well worth a visit to see hustle and bustle after the mornings fishing. Every type of fish there for selling locally and also exporting.
