By Air

the nearest airport is Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport (IATA: KJK, ICAO: EBKT) is located in Belgium, partly in the town of Wevelgem and also in Bissegem, a part of the city of Kortrijk.It is mainly used as a business airport.One of the main users of this airport is Abelag Aviation, though it is also used by flying clubs and schools.According to its official around 100,000 passengers use the airport every year.The airport was created in 1916 by the Germans during the First World War.

By Train

Ghent is only a 30-minute train ride away from Brussels and is on the line from Brussels to Bruges and the coast.If you're planning to visit Bruges and Brussels definitely stop over in Ghent as well.There are also direct trains to Brussels Airport, Antwerp, Lille and Paris.There are two train stations in Ghent, Gent-Dampoort and Gent-Sint-Pieters.Gent-Sint-Pieters is the main station, to go to the centre take tram 1 (until Korenmarkt).Journey time is ten minutes.Gent-Dampoort is located closer to the center (about 15 minutes walk), but only trains coming from/in the direction of Antwerp stop there.If you're visiting from Bruges, Brussels or Antwerp during the weekend it's much cheaper to get a return ticket.

By Car

The dense highway network in Belgium allows you to access Ghent easily by car.Two main highways E40 (Liege-Brussels-Ghent-Bruges-Ostend) and E17 (Antwerp-Ghent-Kortrijk-Lille) cross at Ghent.Brussels and Antwerp are 40 min away, Bruges 30 min.During rush hour you can easily double these times.

Church of St. Bartholomew Mouscron

is a church Belgian architectural style gothic located in the Walloon Region in the province of Hainaut.It is located northeast of the Grand-Place (Gerard Kasiers place).The documents already mentions the existence of a church in 1149.In 1509, Antoine de la Barre de Rome brought a relic of St. Bartholomew.Primarily, the present church built of Tournai and brick dates from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.However, the spire Gothic Revival dates back to 1837 and nave Central and the same amount of collateral form thanks to the transepts added in 1550 and 1638 and a triple vessel, a hallekerk ( church hall ).The building has undergone a complete restoration between 1972-1982.Today, the church is built in the parish of Comines-Mouscron-Dottignies itself part of the deanery of Mouscron and therefore the diocese of Tournai.

Mouscron the Rock Festival
