By Train

Two of Metro Manila's main arteries pass through Makati.The Epifanio De los Santos Avenue (EDSA) pass along the southeast part of Makati and connects the city with Mandaluyong City and Pasay City.The South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) runs through the western part of Makati and connects the city with Manila to the north and with southern Metro Manila.The Skyway, an elevated highway built on top of SLEX, provides residents coming from southern Metro Manila a fast way to reach Makati.SLEX and EDSA intersect at the Magallanes Interchange, which is the most complex system of elevated roadways in Metro Manila.

By Bus

Buses plying the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA/C-4) route from Baclaran in Paranaque to Quezon City and Caloocan City pass through the central business/financial district daily.Jeepneys ply Makati's inner roads and connect the city to its surrounding towns and cities.The Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) on EDSA has four stations located in Makati: Guadalupe, Buendia, Ayala and Magallanes.The Philippine National Railways meanwhile has three stations: Buendia, Pasay Road and EDSA.

By Road

Other major roads in Makati include Buendia Avenue also called Sen.Gil Puyat Avenue which connects EDSA and SLEX in the north; Ayala Avenue an important street that runs through the central business/financial district and Makati Avenue which connects Ayala Avenue with Buendia Avenue also extending north to cross the Pasig River to Mandaluyong City.At the center of Makati is the Ayala Triangle, a park built on the former Nielsen Air Base.

By Ferry

The Pasig River is located on the North of this city.The Pasig River Ferry Service has 2 stations.The following stations are Guadalupe and Valenzuela.

Forbes Park

is a private subdivision and gated community in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Established in the 1940s, Forbes Park was named after William Cameron Forbes, an American Governor-General of the Philippines.It is divided into Forbes Park North and Forbes Park South and is bounded roughly by Epifanio de los Santos Avenue to the northwest, Bonifacio Global City to the east, the Maricaban Creek to the south and southeast and Acacia Avenue / Dasmarinas Village to the west.One of the first villages to be developed by Ayala Corporation, Forbes Park is home to Manila Golf and Country Club and Manila Polo Club.It is also well-known for housing some of the country's wealthiest families and prominent expatriates, including the ambassador of the United States and the ambassador of Kuwait.The average home price in this exclusive neighborhood is upwards of US$5,000,000.The Sanctuario de San Antonio, a Franciscan church and San Antonio Plaza, a small commercial center lie between North and South Forbes Park.Meanwhile the Church of the Holy Trinity, an Anglican-Episcopal Pro-cathedral, is just across the street.The current president of Forbes Park North is Nasser "The Handsome" Al-Houti, he has been president of Forbes Park North for 8 years since September 2002.

Fort Bonifacio

is a highly urbanized district in Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.The district is named after the main Philippine Army camp in Metro Manila, Fort Andres Bonifacio which in turn was named after the famous Philippine revolutionary hero Andres Bonifacio.In recent years Fort Bonifacio district has experienced commercial growth through the sale of military land by the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA).In 1995, Bonifacio Land Development Corporation started planning a major urban development  Bonifacio Global City.BLDC made a successful bid to become BCDA's partner in the development of Bonifacio Global City.Ayala Land Inc. and Evergreen Holdings Inc. of the Campos Group purchased a controlling stake in BLC from Metro Pacific in 2003.BCDA and the two companies now control Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation which oversees the master planning of Bonifacio Global City.The Bonifacio Global City is now a rich district with a high number of skyscrapers even if the city is still rising.Many skyscrapers are under construction and will be built in the future.

Ayala Museum

is an art and history museum located at the corner of Makati Avenue and De la Rosa Street in Makati City, Metro Manila, the Philippines.It is considered one of the most important private institutions of Philippine art and culture.Aside from the permanent collections the Ayala Museum also plays host to changing exhibitions which may feature the works of young visual artists, ethnographic items, major art pieces on loan from private or foreign collectors or historical photographs.These unique exhibitions exemplify the Ayala Museum’s embrace of the old and the new, the local and the global, the traditional and the progressive.The museum is also an ideal venue for special events such as conferences, open-air concerts and programs and cocktail or dinner receptions.It has a spacious and elegant lobby, state-of-the-art conference and meeting rooms, a glassed-in gallery and a plaza surrounded by a Zen-inspired garden.

Ayala Center

The Ayala Center is a commercial complex operated by Ayala Land Incorporated located in the central business district of Makati in Metro Manila, Philippines.Ayala Center Makati is a business, recreational, shopping, dining and entertainment development located in Barangay San Lorenzo in Makati, at the corner of two major thoroughfares, Ayala Avenue and EDSA, in Makati's central business district.Its location places it virtually at the heart of the country's commercial and business center.The Ayala MRT station serves the area.The development originally started with a number of separate shopping arcades and Greenbelt Park before expanding to cover over 50 hectares of facilities.Today the complex now includes several malls each with its own shopping and restaurant arcades and cinemas; three department stores, a number of hotels and the Ayala Museum showcasing exhibits on Philippine history.

The Peninsula Manila

is a 5-star hotel in the Philippines.It is located on the corner of Ayala Avenue and Makati Avenue in the central business district of Makati City, wherein it is now a landmark because of its majestic fountain and falls in Metro Manila.It is located also in Barangay Urdaneta.This hotel is part of The Peninsula Hotels chain based in Hong Kong and is the first hotel of that chain outside of the Chinese territory.Also its lobby is one of the most recognizable and distinctive in Metro Manila.

Rockwell Center

is an upscale mixed-use 15.5-hectare project in Poblacion, Makati City, Philippines.It is a project of the Rockwell Land Corporation established in 1995 which is owned by the influential Lopez family.Rockwell Center was constructed on a 19.5-hectare lot previously occupied by a former thermal plant which was operated by Lopez-owned MERALCO until the former's closure in 1994.The project of the power plant was named for James Chapman Rockwell, the first president of MERALCO.The lot is surrounded by J.P. Rizal Avenue to the north, where it faces the Pasig River, Estrella Street to the east, Rockwell Drive to the south, and R. Palma Street to the west.Rockwell Center began its construction in 1998.Its centerpiece the Power Plant Mall opened in December 2000.Features of the Rockwell Center include high-rise office buildings, condominiums, a school and a shopping mall.Among the plans for the area is the Lopez Centre, proposed to have a height of over 1000 feet, which would make it the country's tallest building.
