Mackay Regional Botanical Gardens

The Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens showcases the flora of the Central Queensland Coast Bioregion, a diverse area featuring lush tropical rainforests, wide sweeping beaches, mangrove lined waterways and open eucalypt forests. Many of the unique natural features of the region are interpreted in specific areas / precincts of the Gardens, such as the Finch Hatton Gorge Waterway, Regional Forest Garden and Eulamere Wetlands. The diverse cultural heritage and makeup of Mackay is also celebrated in specialised gardens, displaying the plants of the South Sea Islands, Aboriginal culture and bush tucker and Torres Strait Islands.
