How to Reach

By plane
Liechtenstein has no airports. The closest major airport is Zurich (Switzerland), 115 km away, although there are also limited services to Altenrhein (53 km).

By train
Commuter train services connect four stations in Liechtenstein, including Schaan-Vaduz, to Feldkirch (Austria) and Buchs (Switzerland). Trains only run at certain times of the day. Some long-distance services pass through Liechtenstein, but none stop there.

By car
Swiss highway A13/E34 runs along the Rhine river, the border between Switzerland and Liechtenstein. There are a couple of bridges into Vaduz from Switzerland. Parking spaces are relatively easy to come by. There is also a parking garage located on the main street of Vaduz. Drive carefully on some of the winding mountain roads!

It was established according to article 5 of the second protocol to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, which provides for the establishment of national registers of cultural property.

The Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites (ISOS) is part of a 1981 Ordinance of the Swiss Federal Council implementing the Federal Law on the Protection of Nature and Cultural Heritage.

Taste princely wines, enjoy breakfast in the middle of nature, look over the shoulders of potters, or let a birds-of-prey show take your breath away.
