How to Reach

By Car

Highway 1A (the Fraser Highway) and the Langley Bypass (which becomes Highway 10) are convenient driving routes into Langley city. Highway 1 (the Trans-Canada Highway) runs through the township to the north of the city.

By Bus

Translinkhas only thin coverage of Langley, but it exists. Bus #502 travels every 15 minutes from Surrey Centre (a transfer point for Skytrain from downtown Vancouver) to Langley Centre, a bus hub in the town. Once an hour, Bus #502 continues south-eastwards past Langley Municipal Airport and on to Aldergrove. Route and schedule details on the Translink web site.
The Albion Ferry crosses the Fraser River at nearby Fort Langley.
The Golden Ears Bridge crosses the Fraser River at nearby Walnut Grove and takes you into Ridge Meadows.

By Air
Harbour Air Seaplanes  offers three flights daily to Victoria harbour.

  • Canadian Museum of Flight, Hangar # 3 - 5333 216th Street10:00-16:00h daily. This tiny museum preserves a surprisingly large collection of aircraft significant to Canadian aviation in a corner of Langley airport. $5 +tax, $4 (students/seniors).
  • Greater Vancouver Zoo, 5048-264th Street (Highway 1 to Exit 73, then south), The story of the Greater Vancouver Zoo began in the late 1960's when world traveler and businessman, Pat Hines, purchased 120 acres of land in Aldergrove, British Columbia. It was ideal for the realization of his dream to create a game farm. At first registered as the World Wide Game Farm Ltd. it became known as the Vancouver Game Farm, which had its official opening on August 2oth, 1970.
  • Mountain view Conservation Centre55 species of rare and endangered wildlife. Advanced reservation required.
  • Langley Canada Day Celebrations, MacLeod Athletic Park, corner of 56th Avenue and 216 Street (across the street from Langley airport), 11:00-23:00h, June 30-July 1 only. This two-day celebration of Canada is held on or near Canada Day, July 1st, each year. It is one of the largest in the province. It is a family-oriented event with stage shows, music, games, static aircraft displays, and more. Free entrance and parking, some activities have a charge.
