How to Reach

By Road

Since Korneuburg located at the junction of several roads, the traffic load is enormous. Due to its proximity to the Danube highway (A22), close to the Vienna outer ring expressway (S1) will exacerbate the traffic congestion in the region Korneuburg. Museum and exhibition building

Palace-like building in the middle of the park with a small museum of the Marian Column.in 1908 established "Tropferlbad" was 1970/73 rededicated to the museum.with central projection and construction of a two-arm staircase. Rich pilasters, small gable design with coat of arms

City Hall and Tower

The town hall was built in the historicist style and in 1895 opened. On the main facade are located above the statues of Emperor Franz Joseph and Duke Albrecht I the crest of the crown lands. Above the entrance to the bust of the Viennese architect Max Kropf Coat of arms of the major Lower Austrian cities can be seen. On the north side of the town hall are the arms of the rulers who had special significance for Korneuburg. The city tower dates from the time 1440 until 1447. Its present form it was in 1890 with the last major renovation.

Kath Parish Church of St. Agydius

The present church was built in 1210-1212 and 1214 ordained. Originally built in the Romanesque style zweitürmig, the church, especially its towers, towards the end of Swedish occupation Korneuburgs (1646) severely damaged. 1760, only one tower was built as a bell again, but fell in 1902 and rebuilt along with the entire west work

Augustinian Church

Built 1745 - 1773  The church of 1338 of Otto the Merry Augustinian monastery founded in the years 1745 to 1773 built by an unknown master again. In 1898 the tower designed by the Viennese architect Max Kropf was built.

City wall section with loggia

The city wall was built before 1231, renewed 1408 and 1421 to 1449 with material from quarries Hoflein in a width of about 2 m and a height of 6 to 8 m increased significantly.
