By Air

Airport Juiz de Fora ( IATA : JDF, ICAO : SBJF) serves the city mining of Juiz de Fora.It was opened in 1958.It is administered by Sinart and managed by Cipriano Magno de Oliveira.Airport Juiz de Fora has 4 daily flights to/from Sao Paulo (Congonhas) by the Pantanal carrier and daily flights to/from Belo Horizonte (Pampulha), Rio de Janeiro (Santos Dumont) and Sao Joao Del Rey by TRIP, with connections to other cities.Many budget-conscious travellers, however take a cheaper flight to Rio or Belo Horizonte then shift to buses to finish the trip.

By Bus

Juiz de Fora is on the way between Belo Horizonte (4.5 hours) and Rio de Janeiro (3 hours).Sao Paulo is approximately 8 hours away.The city is also a regional bus hub and has frequent links to nearby cities.Buses leave from the main bus station (rodoviaria) at Av. Brasil, 9501.  3215-7696.The bus terminal is connected to the downtown area by taxis and frequent regular buses that drop passengers near the very central corner of Av. Getulio Vargas and Av. Rio Branco.

By Road

The city has easy access to BR-040 to Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro, BR-267 to Puerto Murtinho, MG-353 for Black River and Piraúba and MG-133 to River Dove and Coronel Pacheco.It also has access to state highways and even national importance through highways and local roads paved lane.

Museum Mariano Procopio

is the first museum appeared in Minas Gerais.Founded in 1915 by Alfredo Ferreira Lage, houses one of the major collections in the country, with approximately 50 000 pieces.Whole architecture comprises two buildings: the Villa Ferreira Lage, built between 1856 and 1861 and Mariano Procopio building, opened in 1922.Currently, both are in reforms and is closed to the public.In addition to a historic, has a collection of great natural importance ecological, valuing in their gardens the exotic flora of Brazil.The history of the museum is on the rise of Union Road and Industry which unites Juiz de Fora to Petropolis.Mariano Procopio, engineer and responsible for the road, built to Villa Ferreira Lage to house Dom Pedro II, who inaugurated the route.For the construction Mariano chose a site located in the heart of the new location that had come up, in front of the hotel that serves users of the Union and Industry.As the building was not ready in time, he had to host the imperial family in your own home.In only his second visit to the city in 1869 the emperor was able to see Villa.

Cine-Theatro Center

is a theater in the city of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais.Its capacity is 1.881 spectators.The project, the architect Raphael Arcuri is one of the earliest references to the local influence of art deco, while the interior decor, designed by Angelo Biggi, remains faithful to the Italian muralist tradition with classical themes.The starting point to build the movie theater was the foundation of the "Central Amusement Company" in June 1927, the company formed by chemical Correia, Francisco Campos Valadares, Diogo Rocha and Gomes Nogueira.The choice of location was between St. John and California streets (today Halfeld ), where the theater stood Polytheama, demolished to make way for the Central.The works lasted one year and four months, and the inauguration finally took place on March 30th of 1929.The building was listed by IPHAN in 1994.In the same year, was taken over by the Federal University of Juiz de Fora that with funding from the Ministry of Education, promoted comprehensive reform at the Cine-Theatre reopening its doors to the public.

Lajinha Park

is a park located in the city of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais.Founded in 1983, occupies an area of 140 thousand square meters.Green area of 140 square meters, has trails for hiking and mountain biking, lake and wide open space.It is located southwest of downtown.

Church of St. George

is a church located in St. Helena district of the city of Juiz de Fora.It was founded in 1958 by practitioners of Syrian Byzantine Rite who arrived in the city along with other Arab immigration to the location the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.The first mass was celebrated in 1965, when construction was completed.Is still frequented by Arab colony.The Benevolent Society of St. George Melkite was founded in 1957 by practitioners of Syrian Byzantine Rite who arrived in the city along with other Arab immigration to the scene in the late nineteenth and early twentieth composed of women who still now meet once a week to pray and sing in Arabic.The company has charitable purposes and organizations in St. George's Day, a celebration with typical Arabic food stalls and the streets near the Melkite Church, converting the proceeds to social works.

Halfeld Street

is considered the main street of the city of Juiz de Fora, with cafes, cinemas, galleries and shops. Here are located the panel "Pony" by Portinari, Club Building in Juiz de Fora, Halfeld Park with gazebo, playground and trees, the old building of City Hall, City Hall and the Cine-Theatre Center.It is divided into upper and lower, and the section between the Avenida Rio Branco and Vargas, exclusively for pedestrians, known as the Boardwalk.Previously, the high street was called the House and the low, California Street.

Emperor Hill

is a tourist attraction of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais.It is one of the highest points of the city, located 923 m sea level, so called due to visit in 1861, in D. Peter II of Juiz de Fora, which climbed the hill to enjoy the view of the city.To commemorate the turn of the nineteenth century to the twentieth century, a chapel was built there and in 1906, a monument to Christ the Redeemer.In front of the monument is the viewpoint Salles de Oliveira overlooking much of the city.There also is the first tower helix in South America, which provided the defunct TV Industry in the pioneering imaging the interior of Minas Gerais.
