Church of St. Adalbert

Zabnika Valley Nature Reserve

Museum of the City Jaworzno

The date of the museum takes place on 23 May 1972, the day appointed Social Organizing Committee of the Regional Museum.While attempting to create the museum have already been undertaken by individuals or organizations, but all ended in failure in the absence of interest in city government.The aim was to collect and display of artefacts and works of art that have a direct relationship with the region and city jaworznickim.Nucleus of the collection were taken from collections of old maps of mines and mining plans.A large part of the members gave the gift of PTTK.These were: household appliances, tools, farm and amateur artists work.Donor was also a board ZBoWiD-u, which provided documents relating to the activities Jaworznian underground during World War II.

Wawel Royal Castle

The beginnings of the residence of Polish rulers on Wawel hill go back to an early Romanesque stone building from mid 11th century called the palatium whose remains are located in the northern wing of the present-day Castle.In time the prince’s residence on the hill was expanded eastwards.Along with the cathedral it was called “the Upper Castle” while “the Lower Castle” was a settlement consisting of courtiers and clergy’s houses and churches other than the cathedral.In the 14th century the Castle was considerably expanded by Ladislas the Short and his son Casimir the Great built an impressive Gothic residence consisting of several buildings grouped around an irregular courtyard in the eastern part of the hill.During the reign of Ladislas Jagiello at the turn of the 15th century, a Gothic pavilion, later known as the Danish Tower, was added to the Castle.After this time the complex remained unchanged until the fire in 1499.

Sosin lagoon

water tank located in Jaworzno, in the eastern part of Upper Silesian Industrial District .The tank has an area of 50 ha, while the complex occupies 30 hectares of forest and meadow located around the tank.The water in the tank Sosin has a second class of purity.In the middle of the tank, on a small island there is a waterfowl sanctuary.Seabed and shoreline flooding creates very good conditions for water sports.In the southwestern part of the tank is guarded swimming.In swimming there are sandy beaches and grassy.They are located here including beach volleyball, water equipment rental and an amphitheater.Lagoon was held Energy Festival.
