Lutheran Church in Gizycko

The parish church of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in 1827 year.Built on the background rectangle, salowy, forward-western tower, brick, plastered with a gable roof covered with tiles and a square tower.In 1881 the choir apse was added.Located in the center of Gizycko Grunwaldzki Square.During the summer months there is the International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music.For Gizycko parish churches are also in Wegorzewo, Wydminy and Pozezdrzu.

Swing bridge in Gizycko

Swing bridge over the Canal Luczanski within the street Stanislaw Moniuszko Gizycko designed for vehicles with a total of up to 2.5 tonnes.This is one of four road bridges across the Channel Luczanski in the city.The bridge is an interesting monument of technology and because of the type of construction is unique in the country and one of the few bridges of this type in Europe.In the summer season is one of the tourist attractions Gizycko, attracting large numbers of tourists wanting to see the moment of opening/closing of the bridge.

Fortress Boyen

History Gizycko Boyen Fortress began in the 1st half.nineteenth century.The first plans for the creation of the fortress from 1818 year and they were a reflection of the experience of General von Grolmanna and von Boyen from the Napoleonic wars.But the final decision to build fortifications was taken until 9 August 1841 year.Was designed by Johann Leopold Ludwig Bres, who previously designed the Fort Winiary and other elements of the Fortress of Poznan.Location was agreed by the local vision in 1842 by the generals von Grolmanna and von von Krausenecka Astera.

Gizycki Cultural Centre

Gizycki Cultural Centre organizes regular events taking place in the city.The best-known Songs Festival Shanties Sailing and Marine in Gizycko.At the end of May organized events connected with the celebration of Days of Gizycko and in summer the Evangelical Church organ concerts are held.Cultural Centre organizes activities for youth in the sections dance, music, theater, visual arts and photography.
