How to Reach

By Air

The nearest international airports are airport Szczecin-Goleta, offering scheduled flights m.in to Dublin, London, Oslo and Warsaw as well as airport Poznan-lawica, with scheduled flights, among others to Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Liverpool, Munich and Warsaw.An extensive range of airports of Berlin requires a little longer directions.

By Train

In Choszczno's railway station.Through the town is the railway line No. 351 (Poznan - Szczecin ).In a day are provided connections to the largest Polish cities.Hence start to run trains to Szczecin regional and long-distance trains stop.The station is currently undergoing renovation.Also runs through the town already closed railway line No. 410 ( Kostrzyn - Choszczno - Kalisz Pomorski - Zlocieniec - Thundering).Passes through the town and many freight trains, which carry such coal, fuel and other goods mainly to/from the ports of Szczecin and Swinoujscie.

By Road

Choszczno is located 17 km south of the national road No. 10 : (limit state (Lubieszyn) - Szczecin - Stargard Szczecin - Walcz - Saw - White Mud - Sierpc - Plonsk).

By Ferry

The city lies about 25 miles north of the border with the province Lubuskie and 80 miles east of Stettin, 155 miles southeast of Ferry Terminal in Swinoujscie, 165 miles northwest of Poznan and 65 miles north of Gorzow Wielkopolski.

Drawa National Park

is located in north-western Poland on the border of Greater Poland, Lubusz and West Pomeranian Voivodeships.The park is a part of the huge Drawsko Forest (Puszcza Drawska) which lies on the vast Drawsko Plain.It takes its name from the River Drawa.It was created in 1990 and initially covered 86.91 km2.Later it was enlarged to 113.42 square kilometres of which forests account for 96.14 km2 (3.68 km2 is designated as a strictly protected area) and water bodies cover 9.37 km2.

Church of St.James

The first mention of this church dates only from 1491 year.The church was built outside the city walls.It was built near the moat and ramparts from the western side of the city in front of Gate Stone.Hall-type church without tower oriented.From the east was closed pieciobocznym chancel.Around the church and especially from the north and west arranged a cemetery for the poor.The cemetery adjoins the western edge of the nearby hills.

St Hospital.George

The hospital was founded at the turn of the fifteenth/sixteenth century.Like other hospitals, St.George was destined for the poor townspeople who could not be required to pay in retribution.Admission to hospital in Choszczno the 1568 year cost 6 cents and 8 florins, half less than in the nearby hospital of St.Spirit which required 14 florins.Keeping the hospital was a difficult task.

Museum of the Earth choszczenski

was established in 1995 year.Originally its headquarters were in Primary School in Krzecinie, and since 1998 the today is in the Secondary School No.1 in Choszczno.Supervisor of the museum since 1995 is Dr.GJ Brzustowicz.In the collections of the museum there are numerous archaeological finds from the Neolithic through the Bronze age, the early Middle Ages and modernity to the present.Since 2000, the in the exhibition are two large stone epitaphs of 1796 years devoted to Annie Louise von Puttkamer Diliannie.In 2006roku museum received a second chamber.The collection includes hundreds of movable monuments from the periods of the Stone Age to the present day: weapons, ceramics, stamps, coins, Gothic architectural elements etc.

Choszczenski House of Culture

is the largest cultural institution in the municipality Choszczno.It operates, among others Sections: plastic, dance, music and literature.The most active of these is the section of the dance.With CHDK there are several dance groups such as the "Reverse" "Reverse I", "Reverse II".Classes are held in the Ballroom Dance Club, Dance Team Contemporary or Song and Dance Ensemble.CHDK also runs Youth Circle of Fine Arts and Fine Arts Club is here "impressions".
