How to Reach

By Car

Drive east on the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) from Vancouver for about 100km until you get to the city center. You will see the "London Drugs" and "Cottonwood Mall" sign before the exit.

By Bus

Chilliwack is one of Greyhound's major depots, and virtually every bus running past it East or West will stop there.

Places to Visit

Cultus Lake Park in the summer for a refreshing dip or stay in one of the lakefront campgrounds. Weekends tend to be overcrowded. About 10km south of Chilliwack.

City Hall Museum
Housed in the Old City hall building near Five Corners the Chilliwack Museum emphasis has been on local history. There a number of fine collections you can see dating back to the early 1900's many including old photographs of public buildings, public events and landscape pictures including aerial photos of Chilliwack, Hope and the Fraser Valley.

Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve
The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is situated at the south end of Sumas Prairie Road. Here you can find 130-hectare (321 acres) nature park reserve that has over 90 Great Blue Heron nests plus other unique wildlife and beautiful vegetation. The park managed by the City of Chilliwack has a well-established nature house and protective trails for you to walk on.

hilliwack Heritage Park
The Chilliwack Heritage Park is located just off the Trans-Canada Hwy 1 at Exit 116. The facility allows for larger trade and convention shows plus allows Chilliwack to hold larger sized public events such as agricultural displays, equestrian shows and rock concerts.

Five Corners
One area you might want to walk around in Chilliwack is the heritage zone called Five Corners. This is where Yale Road West, Yale Road East (both part of the historic New Westminster-Yale Wagon Road), Young Road and Wellington Avenue all meet and has been the centre of social and commercial activity in Chilliwack since 1873.
