Chelm cathedral

Built as Chelm cathedral Uniate now the Catholic parish church.Established in the mid- eighteenth century.About the characteristics of late baroque building, basilican type.Initially, the site of the present basilica was Orthodox the same name, which was founded around 1260 by Daniel Romanowicz.Church was demolished in the mid- eighteenth century.After being on the council of Brest (1596) adopted the union of the church, the church was the Cathedral Greek Catholic rite.Terlecki Methods (fifth bishop of Chelm Uniate, 1629 - 1648), rebuilding the Cathedral after the fire of 1640 introduced in the appearance of small changes.

Castle Hill in Chelm

Kretzschmarow Palace
